Maybe the Japanese getting the game 3 weeks earlier is a good thing, so that the rest of us getting it in better shape after a patch.

Having said that, I hate the Japanese that will play it sooner.

Have you guys noticed there is mana bar like in demon souls ? Seems DS 3 is all souls combined together.
Appearently you'll be able to turn any amount of normal estus flasks into mana flasks. So if you want to spam spells you'll have less healing. Could be interesting.

And of course the Dragonslayer returns. Wouldn't be a Dark Souls game without ol' Ornstein.

Soundtrack list, contains the names of most if not all the bosses.

Seems like a lot of humanoids. I can't wait to hear more about "dudes in armor".

There has been speculation that the
Deacons of the Deep
boss are
these ones from the gameplay trailer

It makes sense since that part of the trailer looks like it came from a cutscene. We could be seeing a revisit of everyone's favorite boss fight, Prowling Magus and Congregation

Why do Japanese women have to be so annoying. She wasn't even saying anything just making random noises throughout the video. Do games not sell in Japan if you don't have a woman sitting next to you making random noises?

Having a stoopid chick making kawai noises sitting next to a herbivore nerd to give him constant reassurance is Japan's equivalent of what Americans like when you chainsaw a demon in half and your dudebro sitting next to you barks out loudly "YEAHHHHHHHH!!!!!".

Magus and Congregation could be a pretty fun bossfight if their health/damage numbers were about doubled, maybe tripled.

I dunno, one thing Dark Souls really can't handle well is fights against more than 2 or 3 opponents, since the lock on is only really designed to take that many enemies at a time into account. Any more than that and you start taking cheap shots from enemies that gang up behind you offscreen.

Prowling Magus and Congregation are an easy fight, to be sure, but I don't think giving them more health would make them a better fight. More tedious and frustrating, maybe, but not better.

I only played the first Dark Souls, so possibly this doesn't apply here, but i think what would help is more damage. In the original, i found that if the boss isn't nuking your stamina you are pretty much set for victory. All you have to do is pay attention to the move set and the fight becomes a cakewalk.

Depends on boss. I would like more 2vs1 bosses, O&S is one of the best boss battles because of that, its not even that hard even at first attempt, but they don't let you stop and think much during the fight, which is osom.

I'm tempted to watch gameplay videos but I don't want to spoil more than I already have. I watched the beta footage for Bloodborne and it spoiled most of Central Yharnam for me.

Class guide, now with pretty pictures;

From's concept art is always great. Even the 3D visuals in-game, while very good, can't do it justice.

So far I really dislike the new pyromancer; they used the same pew pew fire casting mechanic of DS2 instead of the casting style of the original and he just feels like a mage using fire spells instead of soul arrow or whatever
I think I am goong to try the assassin for my first run, the combination of magic and light weapons sounds right for this slighter faster game

Would've been cool if they'd added a Hunter class as a tribute to Bloodborne. Starting weapons, sword and crossbow.

I'll probably play as a Knight for my first character, since that's what I've done in all the previous Souls games. I'm tempted to play a cleric for the first time though, the armour and design is so cool.

Some light armored dude with katana here, probably mercenary or assassin. I just fucking love the katana in Souls games. Versatile movement set, decent damage, good range, fast swings, and its classy as fuck ofcourse.

I always play Deprived as a kind of "vow of poverty" character, only using the crappiest weapons like broken longswords and rags, even if I have better equipment. Can't wait to try out all kinds of different classes and builds in DS3, as much as I liked Bloodborne it was really missing that build variety.

Namco's favorite shill giving his two cents of the first 5 hours of the game.

"boss HP was turned down so journalists could get through the demo."

:nocountryforshitposters:
a food critic that asks for pad thai without spice and reviews it would get shit on. why do game "journalists" get a pass?

Trophy List

Seems that I was right about the Deacons. I'm a bit disappointed with Aldrich's appearance but the rest of the bosses look amazing
