So it's kind of like.... the old BioWare is getting back together? Minus the Doctors of course... Which probably isn't a bad thing.... :M

Yes, Chris Avellone was working with beamdog, maybe he too will be hired as a full time employee of that company, and so we will have the RPG Developing team we've always dreamed of!

If Avellone was going to commit to doing something full time, it'd probably be more innovative than a Baldur's Gate 3.

Very interesting.

I wonder, is it a new IP they're planning for or a 5E D&D title in the vein of Baldur's Gate 3? Time will tell I guess.

So is the truth really that David Gaider was actually one of the more competent people working in BioWare despite all of the tranny and gay romance accusations? :positive:

I used to think so in the past, but then he started going into full white knight mode whenever someone criticized the retarded design decisions of the post EA-buyout Bioware games, that made it seem to me he is just fluke.

He's a good designer.

Here's to hoping he's as sick of making romance simulators as we are of playing them.

That is funny when D:OS and D:OS2 are not more innovative than bg2 or what Bg3 would be..

The only thing I wish to add is that back during the development of Dragon Age, Gaider had been particularly vocal about how awesome bioware's new Intellectual Property was, free from the shackles of Dungeons & Dragons to make something more gritty, dark and mature.

And now he comes crawling back on his hands and knees.

Yes they are. But he's not doing D:OS 2 full-time either so
Only innovative thing is more focus on MP shit which I find irritating. D:OS was ruined because of that and its shitty double dialogue system.

That's not really incorrect though. Regardless of what Forgotten Realms is or what Dragon Age came to become, the fact remains is that it belonged to Atari/WotC/Hasbro/Gygax's Lich. BioWare, just like Obsidian, did not have any autonomy in their work.

I liked the paper-rocket-shotgun dialogue mini-gaymes

Dragon Age is the worst thing that could have happened to fantasy cRPGs along with Oblivion/Skyrim.

Is 2016 the end of the console derp cycle where the great console experiment failed or something? Did the Console wall fallen and refugees from Playstationland flocking to PC and I didn't notice? Oh Bioware, so many years, so many derp, so many years watching you wasting yourself with the likes of EA, I got the doctors, they were fucking mercenaries that lead you stray and got rich but the rest of you were useful idiots. So many years, more than two decades of life spent on garbage to just come back to work on Baldur's Gate 3 something that we dreamed and would love you if you did at the time and now something we don't believe you aren't broken and tired enough to pull off.

Ok, i liked BG2, KOTOR, NWN and i have high hopes of SoD; Dragon Age series was Turd Ferguson. I think i should be worried that Gaider joined Beamdog...
