its not like the whole game youd be pestered by sexual advances of the women you travel with

You didn't play too many of Bioware games, did you?
i played them all. while some advances/hints i found mildly out of place it never came to the point that id nerdrage WOMEN ARE NOT LIKE THIS FFFFFFFFUUUUUU

most instances you can choose who to travel with, if you don't like women flirting with you. and even at the times you HAD to travel with those women there's always an option to dismiss whatever seemingly contrived affection the developers made those companions throw at you.

Morrigan does not sleep with you just because you gave her a book. The book is a quest item that, in this case, happened to push her approval into the point where she would make a sexual advance in camp.

So your saying that she didn't sleep with you because you give her a book, she sleeps with you because giving her the book made her want to ride your dick?

Nice.

What make me sad is that the future of RPG games are clones of Fallout 3, Elder scroll oblivion, Mass effect and dragon age (if you can call those games RPGs).

This smell to me that the sex thing was forced to be maded on the game, if you see, is the selling point that EA is using in his publicity campaing.

By the way, i do it to aerie, and i not even know in those days that there was romances, it take me by surprise in a bar on baldur´r gate city, near the elminster organization (dont remember the name, same map where the thief guild is).

I just hope the lengt of the game is near to the baldur´s gate 2, or if is posible, they release tons of add-ons, so far i like the engine of the game, it looks nice, cant talk about the story until the game get released and reviewed.

I actually kinda look forward to DA still. I'm hoping they just take the game and plunge right into the most cheesy heart of "dark fantasy" as they can. Build a soap opera out of it, and have some of the choices (origins) matter then I think it could be a rather fun romp.

I had similar hopes for Mass Effect though, that it would be taken far into EXTREME collargrabbing territory, but instead it was just rather tepid and lame.

I cant decide whom to hate more.
The RPS faggot is a gigantic cocksucker. I hated almost every article the codex linked to.
Gaydar writes "complex romances" but worked on BG which had its moments.
So I in this case, Gaydar would have the benefit of doubt. Then again "THIS IS THE NEW SHIT!", EA, Shit Effect and every other BIO game since BG.

But nowadays, I am forced to try anything that actually has an isometric view. Praise TPB!

You don't even seem to grasp the situation here.
David Gaider, the game's lead writer writes what could be seen (or is?) an apology for the game, DA:Origin's new marketing direction, basically saying that he isn't happy with the turn of events.
Why he would do this, I dont know, but I do know that the hogher ups at Bioware, possible even Ray and Greg?, might just have approved of him doing so.

His post at rpgwatch. com is not so much taking issue with the RPS preview of the game, but seems more to be taking issue with the marketing direction that's been taking recently.

Mass Effect could have been on the right track, as it was a planned trilogy where your saved games would carry over to the next game. So, say, by the third game, it might actually make sense for the PC to have a romantic relation with one of the characters.

Sadly no.

So this scene was written and coded by the marketing guys, and Gaider was in no way involved in creating it, despite being the lead writer? That sure sounds plausible.

Okay so it's not just "give her a book and then she fucks you"

It's more along the lines of:
-find her lost ruby gem
-when she asks you if you like dogs say "yes"
-get her compliment stat above 47
-give her a Mango Fruit at least once a day
-give her a book
-she fucks you
