Hopefully they fixed all the performance issues on this one.
If so, I just might fail to remove it from inventory, heck, maybe even wait until the price drops.

I really am excited to try this. Seems to be the first game in 2+ YEARS to at least attempt artistic credibility in the mainstream. Seeing as it's published by Square Enix, that's quite an accomplishment.

That said, Europe got all the bonus content! So I will be waiting for the re-release, rather than order one of the two pre-order versions. Probably good, since that or Skyrim will get GOTY edition.

I have it "pre-purchased" on Steam as well. I have faith it will be at least an entertaining cyberpunk shooter, and it might just be a real Deus Ex game.

I pre-ordered this too. And just because of the leak. If the game had not been leaked I'd probably still be whining about it.

But thankfully things have turned out different, as such I am looking forward to it.

Likewise. Unlike you guys I was already contemplating buying it but the leak convinced me to preorder.

Also got a preorder in. Can't wait to smash through walls and armblade people.

Ah, fuck it. Enjoyed the leaked demo for what it was. Am hopefull the final version will provide me with some fine entertainment. Just ordered the collectors edition from my local retailer. The steam edition lacks the box, manual and extra mission. I don't want to miss out on an extra mission. Snailmail it is. We'll see.

Speaking of which, which version did you guys pre-order?

There's one with explosives, another with sniper rifles. I think it says a lot about your rpg playstyle.

The augmented version here that's shipped to the retailers has both for only 10 euro extra. Much better value for money than the steam one.

EDIT: Also got it because I liked the leak. Who says there is no place for demos anymore?

The leaked demo sold me as well. I pre-ordered it the very next day after playing it. It's been awhile since a major studio has surprised me and made me actually look forward to a AAA title.

Here's to hoping it lives up to this Codex hype... who could have believed it?!

Saw some videos of the leaked version on youtube, it's even better than the first one. :salute:

I got the version that comes with an extra mission. I didn't care about any of the other stuff.

The only way to get the extra mission in the US is through Gamestop and I refuse to give them my money. I saved $5 on the Steam pre-order, so I figure eventually buying that mission for a few bucks still keeps me ahead considering taxes.

I think Steam comes with the shotgun and sniper rifle.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is going to be Game of the Year 2011.

I know hating everything is a pretty safe bet these days, but this game is worth a purchase.

I agree. And I hope, just to take the wind out of the Skyrim = GOTY (provided it's as mediocre as Oblivion)

On the other hand, there is no official GOTY. Both games will probably get a nod from different sites.
