I've seen reports of my favorite sub-variant of Druid (the Hunter) finishing Baal on Hell diff. So it can be done.

A Hunter is a druid specializing on the summoning tree, with one hybrid (The Huntymentalist) having in addition one elementalist skill (Volcano). The idea is to pump dire wolves and bear, use oak sage, use a might merc, and pack a bow (a favorite is the Kuko Shakaku). The druid stay behind the wall of fur, shooting autohit arrows and casting the occasional timered volcano under the monster's butts.

Fun as hell, and while not "uber" it's pretty viable.

Fight a level 35 shadow master of another player in melee.

Heh! I'm not insane! :D I thought I was the only person in the world that did that. (Well, actually I pump bear and heart of wolverine, while going at monsters with either Armageddon or Hurricane, depending on their resistances and using a crossbow.) Whee.
