Meh, exploiting exploits is one thing. Using third party program to cheat is another. I doubt that blizzard is as lenient with that. When there is an exploit, it was blizzards fault in the first place that it was there.

Yeah, clearly it is on them, but doing nothing to people who changed the entire game environment because of it isn't very helpful either. Those people shortcutted hundreds if not thousands of hours of gameplay in a day, and all those levels are added back into the non-season ladder when the season ends. Levels = stats, and hence power.

Guess this had nothing on when Blizzard let people dupe billions of gold and sell it for real life money on their own market, though.

Yeah, the competitive PvP environment is effectively ruined.

Yeah, I know. The competitive PvP environment of Fallout 1 was also completely ruined because of those damned cheaters :(

Wow, Diablo 3 turned into a pretty good game with the expansion and all the patches. Weird.

No. If I had the patience for it, I would go back to my post history to show to I thought it was merely not as bad as the ridiculously edgy posts in the thread at the time was claiming it was. Now it's actually a pretty good arpg that has addressed most of the criticism that the codex had against it, and few codexers dispute this.

Okay, I admit. I went back. I read through a lot of your posts and I really crafted opinion on you. You made good points, you gave the game credit where it should and didn't partake in critique when it shouldn't in silly manner. I went through all that. I remembered you as simple hater and you weren't. You backed your opinion with arguments, be they good or bad but you did and you weren't afraid to defend them. For that, I really appreciate you, you strong man you. I still disagree with a lot you said, but this disagreement comes from fundamentally different gameplay we except so it's fine.

:excellent:

I'm glad you took your time and researched properly so that you learned that I'm always, without exception, right!

No, I found you were wrong and expect wrong things from the game D:

You just made compelling arguments about being wrong and I, in my wisdom, gave you pass as at least you are consistent and follow a logical line in your false belief, thing many would not do or be!

Hmm, either you're trolling on another level, or you are actually serious. Not sure which it is. If you are serious, then thank you, if you are trolling: Well done.

I wouldn't know, the line between the realms of trolling and being serious are so dim I have hard time to tell between the two...

I am a serious troll.

A friend of mine started playing Diablo 3 and that sucked me back in. God dammit. I guess I'm just in time for the new content patch, though.

RoS really did vastly improve the game. I'd go so far as to say it's a good game now, although still nowhere near the majesty of post 1.10 Diablo 2.

Yeah, am in the same situation here as Xor. There's a bit of fun trying to figure out some gamechanger setups now. The game's okay.

I also caved and bought a cheap key online since everyone and their mother seems to be playing this now. Its definitely a huge improvement over vanilla. Too early to tell if its actually good game since I only just got 70.

Seems like a decent 7.5/10 right now if Vanilla was 4/10

edit: i take everything back, battle.net down on a non-holiday tuesday afternoon (and apparently has been for hours with no information on whats going on). Oh blizzard never change.

Gee whiz, with this expansion you can now go to any waypoint in any act!

Perhaps in the next expansion we will be allowed to level stats manually! And in one after that, real town portals!

I'm not wasting even $20 on this garbage. Fuck Blizzard.

The larget mindfuck really is a question of why they haven't worked off the "normal levels" and just start paragon leveling from level 1. I don't think anyone would be overwhelmed by getting to choose 1 stat out of 4 from beginning especially when you can recustomize them free of charge.
