Boxed editions are still okay, but it would make more sense if either:

1) Boxed copies were made more expensive than digital copies
or
2) Digital copies were made cheaper than boxed copies

Of course, Kickstarters already do this, so that's a start.

Yeah, tell me about it. Getting these KS Collector's Boxes is killing me. KS is really the only ones making these "old school" boxed copies anyway. Every other so-called "Collector's" box where for console games. I think The Witcher 2 was the last PC game (I use that phrase very loosely) that had an decent collector's boxed edition. All I really want is a cloth map (that's actually useful game-wise), a thick manual (written in-world would be nice but at least explain the world and it's mechanics), maybe a trinket or two (that is connected to the game world in someway) and a box that is bigger than a DVD case (I hate that trend!!). I don't mind spending more for that.

Nice interview! (I watched the whole thing). The Larian crew have their hearts in the right place, so I'm gonna pledge sometime this week :salute:

There was a quest in the expansion that had you search for five sigils to activate, and some of them were quasi-hidden behind bushes and whatnot. Which apparently warranted IGN to take 40 points off the score because, you know, gaming journalism.

IGN said:
There is one particular main quest that tasks you with finding five buttons spread throughout the streets of Aleroth that you must press to continue the story. Never mind that the game doesn't bother to tell you that two cannot be accessed until much later...

wat.

I had tons of fun with Divinity 2 and it was pretty long game if you play as an explorer not rush things.

Yeah, maybe this is a verboten thing to say, but I find the most memorable games tend to be a little buggy, unpolished, and unfinished, because being ambitious often ends up going sideways in the end. But at least you tried. I have many, many more good memories of Divinity and the Dragon Knight Saga than I have of much higher-rated "RPGs" like Skyrim.

Well, if I was trying to think of a game that makes a good example of not being "buggy, unpolished, and unfinished" Skyrim would definitely not be my first pick.

I was using it more as an example of a modern RPG that has really high ratings for some reason.

I was drinking my tea while watching the video and that "meaningful personal relationship with sheep" nearly killed me. not really
The laughter, instead of the classic spitting, just caused me to choke. After recovering I now have a new lease on life and vow to make the most of it.. and by that I mean I must have this game.

Good talk.
