Well, preemptive attack is best way to start a war. You can catch armies unscripted and kill them. Definitely worth a try as long as you know who you will be fighting.

So the fall back plan, if things go south, is to just fuck them up as much as possible.
Didn't mean the economy killers as a backup plan, but as a part of the A plan. Weaken your enemies economies long-term.

Btw, what's the difference between /domg/ and /v/anheim? I used to think it's the same 4chan people, with the former just being the 4chan thread name and latter the steam group of the same ppl. But is there a bigger distinction seeing they're separate here, or is it just 2 teams from same community basically?

/v/anheim is the steam community and there is a lot of overlap with the thread of /domg/ but not total. Many players don't like steam too and don't use it.

Finished off Sauro, lost mostly junk. Probably should have left all the foot soldiers except Gibbors/Se'irs behind, but w/e. Did not assault with 100+ other troops, so in fine shape all things considered. Pan caught some Caelum raiding party sneaking around(but only with PD + a harpy, so Pan lost). Guess that means war with them is imminent.

Well we got bird and elf raided, with some Patala monkey spam thrown at our borders, with predictable results(lost a lot of territory).

Losses were relatively light, and we took out ~3 bird groups and 3 Vanjarl thugs(you know, brand+vine). Still, TROW will win this. Already at Cons8 for a while(even if uniques aren't game-breaking), and AFAIK haven't suffered any significant losses the whole game. The other part of that is that their neighbors are either too weak or too cowardly for a back stab.

I guess when it rains it pours. We're being attacked by the three largest teams left, which includes a Caelum, two elf nations, and Golems from Arco doing the constant raiding, so we are basically dead. There will be some sieges and raids and stuff left, but we don't have the manpower to do anything but make them(9 different nations) bleed taking forts.

While fun at times, especially taking down a couple teams, diplomacy in such a big game was both taxing and hard. It worked well until it didn't. Hard to stop the consensus gang up. I'd be up for a new "community" game, but perhaps on a smaller scale.

Map of Pain and Sadness, for those who like that sort of thing:

We've got some stacks, some SCs, and our Vanheim is trying his best at counter raiding(my Kohen have mostly been sniped by Golems and birds), but the noose tightened up real quick. Caelum+Elves+teleporting Golems from three different teams will do that to yah.
