You need 200 turns for that to happen, or something. The farthest I've got was 3 chosen ones (tier 4), and they got a headstart as tier 3 cap recruits.

They just needs experience, dont tell me you didnt have random troops with 5 stars before? I sure did. If they survive some battles they will upgrade.
Only if they had 5 afflictions as well.
If. High casualty rate. It's easier to empower a chaos champion to B4 and spam lesser summoning of khorny than to expect marauders or even cap-only chaos warriors to survive to bloodthirsterdom in any reasonable numbers. Also, any affliction kicks them into near-useless forsaken, whose chance to survive into not as useless chaos spawn are literally nonexistant.
Now, marauder commanders have routinely survived to chaos championship, but they didn't gain blood magic from that. So much for climbing social ladder.
