KKKotaku also released this. I think that site would be the last one that I trust.
However, with Hawke as a voiced protagonist, character relationships — the platonic, the romantic, and the antagonistic — take on a different kind of depth in the later game.

"starting around the time of KOTOR and NWN"

I cna understand lisitng KOTOR since it is just a dumbed down NWN anyways but NWN is, BY FAR, their most complex game. It's not even a contest.

Rules aren't streamlined. kin fact, NWN ahs a lot more rules, stats, and stuff than the IE games do.

You can have more than 1 character.

How is the UI stremalined? that doesn't even make sense.

Companions are more complex than BG.

Why lie?

In NWN you only have 1 companion and 1 character. Companions can't be controlled. Strategically you are limited due to the lack of multiple classes available at once. Long-term attrition does not exist because of rest-anywhere mechanics. Game is pretty easy and combat is 99% copy-pasted trash mobs.

How so? Technically, for it's time, maybe, maybe, but the story was a joke, an afterthought. For me NWN was mostly based around the gimmick of tiled levels and users creating the content for bioware.

I would say that NWN could potentially be more complex than the AD&D IE games with more challenging combat requiring full party control, because 3E. Or in other words, IWD2.

Only a tollbag think the Bg series is more complex than NWN. How complex is NWN? It iis defined by more than one silly campaign.

NWN is defined by the great mods it can produce: anyone who has played Almraven/Shadewood, the Aielund saga (fucking Illitihid aliens bitch) small things like Kunoichi, slutty thief adventures like 'A dance with Rogues', epics like Rose of Eternity and The Prophet series would know what is capable with the NWN1 toolkit.

Now the NWN campaign itself? fucking kill me before i have to play that shit.

The modules of NWN is more a testament to the skill and dedication of the NWN-community, rather than the toolkit. There exists toolkits that are way better in terms of techical prowess and ease of use, such as the editor for skyrim for example.

Not really fair to compare a toolset from 2011 to one from 2002. At the time, NWN was one of the best.

Bullshit. So far Aurora Toolset is the most handy, easy to use and yet complex (in terms of possibilities) modding tool I had the pleasure to work with. If you're a script monkey you can do some really great stuff with it. Beth's CS/CK is buggy and sloppy due to its excel interface.

NWN is still the best. It was always be the best. there is no other. It is GOD. NWN will never be a LOST LEGACY.It has, it does, it will CONQUER all enemies and destroy pieces of shit like you and wannabe NWNs.

i remember people lying and claiming that NWN would be long forgotten right after its release... that was in 2002... It's 2012 and it is still a BEACON OF LIGHT ON THE CODEX OF FAIL.
