So... Bethesda can put enough content in for a 200 hour game, and Bioware can't do half of that.

It is pretty easy in the Bethesda model. Just make the map a little bit bigger. They can randomly create the terrain and suddenly they got 100 hours more of "content". Moreso if they would take away the map teleportation.

Just imagine how many hours Arcanum is if you don't use the map and instead run between the cities. Imagine!

It's also easier if you don't have to put any thought into making content that fits the story and setting. That's one hole that Bioware haven't really stepped in yet.

You know I'm kinda glad DA is on consoles as well. Because my desktop just died and I won't be able to play it on this craptop.

Hey, it's what happened with Baldur's Gate. Half the game was walking around. Same with Icewind Dale. I can't even begin to guess how much time I spent waiting for my party to walk from the inn to the cleric to the potion maker to the wizard's tower.

I wouldn't put it past them to make Dragon's Age longer by simply having the characters walking everywhere -- fetch quests, retracing your steps, no fast movement.

No, no there'll be insta-travel. It will just be 10 minute extended version of the Mass Effect elevator scenes, with a fantasy skin.

Why don't you just try to fix your desktop?
