When i was a kid i wanted to implement fully 3D models (the High Resolution Pack to be precise) in the game but i couldn't figure how



Nowdays i don't think that i should fix what isn't broken.

Yes, forget graphics mods. Play with Duke Plus for better gameplay, install the PSX music mod, and have a blast. Gamer's obsession with graphics is retarded, exemplified nicely in your video. All that work only to look worse than the original game. Duke would kick 95% of gamer's asses if he knew how much they sucked. Little beta bitch boys that would give up the babes on day 1 of alien invasion!

It doesn't seem to work on Life's a Beach though

There's already a "Mouse Injector" that let you use kb+m with Duke Nukem: Time to Kill on PS1, maybe some day they add support for Land of Babies.

Duke Nukem mods sure are getting to places. Shame this one has fatalities taken from Nu-Doom and Brutal Doom, but at least they're optional.

I think the biggest downsides of the mod are it's primary features - upgrade and randomization systems, they are just way too chaotic. Some random alien can be replaced by an armored hulk that moves faster than you, spams rockets, goes invulnerable every 5 seconds and in general has enough firepower to nuke you in seconds, regardless of how much health and armor you have, oh and on death it explodes so hard that the explosion alone can instagib you, and, of course, the said monster does it's best to glue himself on to you. And these are common, about every third enemy gets replaced with a more powerful variant and also gets supercharged with various bonuses on top of that, the maps, obviously, not being suited for such mayhem turn into a mess, where either you nuke everyone quickly or get nuked yourself.

Additionally, progression and upgrade system means that pistol starts get hampered. As you go on, enemy strength keeps racking up and about the only thing that keeps you going is that huge pile of resources that you have amassed in previous maps. But if you don't have that, some levels might be outright impossible to play, because you get bombarded by roided out enemies that you can't even take on due to lack of ammo. It might be the primary reason why attrition mode allows you to skip or restart levels for a limited resource.

It's a problem of every game with progression systems, the fact that you have to let player get enough upgrades before you can start throwing more dangerous stuff at him. I think that games with no progression systems, like say classic Doom, where the first level can be as hard as the last one, are more flexible and consequently superior in this regard, I'm talking about action games, of course.
