So, the how many-th iteration of Dungeon Lords is this now?

There was the original release (which was a buggy disappointment), the second release which apparently was an improvement, then they did a third release that kinda tanked, and this would be the fourth release now if I didn't forget anything.

Can't he just try to make a sequel instead of re-releasing the same thing over and over again?

"If at first you don't succeed, try, try again."

Such could be the motto of Heuristic Park, which released Dungeon Lords in 2005, then the Dungeon Lords Collector's Edition (CE) in 2006, and now Dungeon Lords MMXII in 2012. The original game set a new low for how buggy and incomplete a game could be and still get released. The CE fixed a lot of the bugs and made the game more functional, but Heuristic Park (or perhaps then publisher DreamCatcher Interactive) lost any goodwill the edition might have engendered by choosing to charge for it rather than making it a free patch. And now there's MMXII, which aims to create the final and definitive version of Dungeon Lords, but it's buggy and sloppy, and in my view it's not even as good as the CE.

Time to turn a new leaf in your life, Brad, and stop peddling Dungeon Lords like it was your only creation. It's been a decade already. Make a new game.

In my humble opinion, Dungeon Lords the best game ever :)

Btw are there any differences between this and the MMXII version?

Is this the kind of game that can be enjoyed unironically? I actually like my fair share of 3rd Person Action RPGs (like Divinity II and Phantasy Star Online).

Didn't Theverybigslayer do a lp of the original game a long long time ago? That lp was EPIC.

I suspect that Dungeon Lord is a new account of Theverybigslayer, as he loved Dungeon Lords (and was p. much the only one who did) and had the very same avatar.

What are the differences between the collector's edition and the new edition? I still have a metal boxed copy in my home, btw. This game is okay, not as great a romp as Dark Souls, but fun co-op if I recall. Also, buggy as hell unless they patched this in the rerelease?

I'm pretty sure everyone here would howl in pleasure to have a working version of Wizards and Warriors instead, which may be one of the few (and maybe the ONLY) game in the entire history of the genre that I can't get to run on my computer, which is depressing since it's so wonderfully quirky and fun.

Wasn't it felipepepe who recently claimed that upgrading to Windows 10 enabled him to run W&W?
