My next video will be Gremlin's 1991 computer adaptation of Heroquest. I was gonna use the DOS version, but it seems to me like the Amiga one actually has more detailed art (but worse colours). How do you emulate Amiga stuff these days? Luzur

If you guys think Deathtrap Dungeon was bad you should've seen Excalibur 2555 AD, easily the worst game I ever had a physical copy of. Ed123 if you eventually decides to visit a clone that manages to be even worse than DD, give it a look.

Interesting, yes. Lady Jessica is, erm, carrying awful lot of water there.
With such artwork, I've a suspicion as to what's so "unusual" about that fan remake.

That was a great review. I think you would have been less harsh on the gameplay if you'd played the floppy disk version since you can just skip the ornithopter trips almost instantly. So all of the points you made still stand, but it's quite a bit less annoying. The one thing I would have added is that the difficulty is way too low, to the point where you've got to come up with some way to handicap yourself to have any challenge at all.

I always thought of Dune as having a lot of interesting ideas that for whatever reason weren't really fleshed out, like how they've got the mechanics for an adventure game aspect of it but it's never really used. So I waited a few decades for someone to rip off those ideas and finally they did in Titan Outpost. It even has a globe!

I mentioned it in the review but I didn't run any tests to confirm for sure. On-screen the Orni is definitely moving like 5x as fast in the floppy version, though I don't know if the internal timing is adjusted to compensate.

Ed123, please post screenshots/gifs/videos of the sex scenes!

You can just start the game, go to the smuggler scene and click the tower in the top left side of the screen to unlock all scenes, but if you're seriously that lazy:

There's an option to just instantly skip to the destination, so you can go anywhere on the planet in about 5 seconds of real time. I can't imagine the boredom you went through to make this.

You can't use the skip button when searching for sietches, you have to sit through the entire flight until the NPC chimes in. In a couple of cases NPCs give you the wrong directions :negative:
