Vaati is the king of spoilers in pre-release times. He thrives on being the first showing things.

The guy can't jump fast enough to reveal every single piece of content that he can, using his early access, even it's not the focus of the video. Other content creators have some decency not showing the more important stuff, but Vati goes straight ahead to show the more hidden, interesting and last things in the game without warning, becoming the ultimate spoiler psychopath.

I think it was with Bloodborne that I ate some unnecessary heavy spoiler. Never watched a video from him again.

I suggest everyone do the same. One thing is not caring about watching some content or bosses, another thing is expose to being shown the single most important and interesting secrets in the game.

Updated look at the map:

It's still missing at least one area.

You know that feeling when you played DS1 for the first time, you go through Undead Burg, fight the Taurus Demon, cross the dragon bridge, go down to the same bonfire you just came from and think "wow, what a well designed world."

Well, you'll never have that feeling again with FromSoft titles.

Their worlds are still mostly well designed, but I agree, I do miss that connectivity.

In a way, the nature of the legacy dungeons would lend itself to such a interwoven design, but I'm not expecting much on that front.

I assume this one is a mythic world of sorts, like Mt Olympus or Valhalla, only fantasy? And the Tarnished are mortals who are called to venture into these lands?

Wouldn't be so far from DS1 where the adventure happens in the "land of the Lords".

That swamp(?) area to the left is going to be enormous.

I didn't play the network test, so I don't have any point of reference, but others have said that it felt surprisingly huge and compared to the rest of the world it's actually pretty tiny. Blue = CNT area

And again, this is not even the full map. It's still missing significant parts to the north east. There's also supposed to be an additional underworld section.

On a small scale it is still present in Bloodborne and DS3. The thing is, interconnected level in a From Soft game is like a narrative twist in a Shayamalan movie. You kind of know it'll be there, and it does not impress the way it did the first time around.

Not really in DS3, no. At that point it was already a lost art.
