How long do you have to stick with the berserkers until you get in proper contact with the outlaws if you try to play linearly and not bee-line?
Never. It's up to you to make contact.
Get out there.

Look, your question is basically "Will some outlaw escort me to their place so I can start their questline"
The answer is - no, and if so, I haven't found him. There IS a guy who will do this for the cleric faction but he patrols the roads randomly so good luck.

I was level 7 or 8 by the time I went to their city. I hate them and want to nuke them.

If I could make only one recommendation to people starting Elex it would be this: make a melee character. Not for power reasons, but for fun. Bows are meh and guns are horrible. So disappointing.

I agree with this. Guns are a bit more versatile now because of different firing modes, but they lack punch. I enjoyed bow builds in Gothic a lot more because of how OP they were. Investing heavily into Dexterity didn't fuck you out of melee either in Gothic since there were swords that scaled with Dex as well so you always had a backup option anyway.

Edit: Wow, 2nd tier faction armor costs an arm and a leg. Just the chest piece will cost me 9500, and I have 1 point in the bartering skill to reduce prices. Gonna take a while to grind up them shekels. Ugh. Going up the ranks doesn't feel so rewarding in ELEX. Just opens up more grind.

It's not Bloom it's High Dynamic Range and it's meant to simulate your eyes adjusting to different light levels.

Definitely set pretty high tho. Maybe Magaderp has a brighter sun?

Stormson and Jora agreed to meet in tavern, Stormson is there already, but Jore didn't come. Why? I waited for half real hour lol

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
So who's doing the official codex sanctioned Elex review? Whoever it is, please work quickly! When someone googles "Elex review" this site needs to be near the top of the results to balance out all the mediocrity from the professionals.

Fenix:
I'm pretty sure Jora always planned to blow him off. Stormson wants to use illegal tech, so mister tight-ass Jora would need to have him killed or exiled if they ever had a real conversation. But maybe we just haven't triggered the next stage of this yet.

Hmm.. developer's cat?

Game looks really nice in some areas (still in first area).

Though I wish there were seasons and volumetric fog would get toned down. Less rain would be nice as well.

I mean, I also wish there were seasons-

But how many games do you know that have seasons? Genuine question.

I can think of... Oracle of Seasons on GBA and Banjo & Kazooie, N64. And all the Harvest Moon / Rune Factory / Stardew Valley games.

UI/Inventory is a nightmare; Risen 1 had a perfectly fine setup, why ruin it?

Was game meant to be played with a controller?

Ofcourse. Don't you see the other signs of consolization/retardness/changing into a turd? No numeric health display, no numeric mana display, same for enemy stats, resistances, damage reduction. It's an ARPG, you've expected a deep CRPG lol?

As most codex 40 years old grognards or 15 years old edgy teens[btw opinions of 15 years old should be automatically dismissed] would say: it's [insert: popamole/casul/normie] game!

yes plz

How many factions are in the game? I know there are the main three - Berserkers, Clerics, and Outlaws - but there seem to be quite a few smaller ones. For example, not pissing off Rat and going along with his plan in the Fort netted me the item 'Rat's Claw' that I was able to show to a group of thieves hidden under the Domed City that I stumbled upon while exploring. I was given the option to join them but didn't because I haven't really decided which faction I plan to join yet.
