Example of ME3's homosexual "romance" "dialogue".

Is that dialogue from the leaked Beta? If so that doesn't really mean shit. All those lines are just placeholders until they write the full dialogues.

I really wish they would keep the gay shit out of my Mass Effect.

I'd like to believe Jaesun was being sarcastic, as in retarded kiddies crying "Beta.Could change!" two months before release of their favourite upcoming games.

We desperately need a Mass Effect Porn Music Mod. As bad as the dialogue is, imagine listening to it with the familiar "boom chicka wah wah" theme in the background.

I was hoping you'd have a comment on Vega's body actually. Besides, why do you lie? we all know your favorite thing about ME2 was Jacob and you hate Bioware for forcing you to play a female in order to romance him.

Don't touch Jacob, sceptic. He was a plain, normal guy. The only guy in a bioware game you feel like you could bro out with - drinking at the bar and talking shit instead of manchild depression (aside from the stupid, tacked-on father subplot).

The following dialogue is not fan fiction but comes from the Mass Effect 3 script:

James: You come down here for something, or you just lookin?
Shepard: I did just come to chat, but I might stay for the show.
James: Have to work harder than that if you want me to blush. Not sure what there is to talk about. You already know my service record.
Shepard: I don't, actually. I didn't have access to personnel records when we met.
James: Right... forgot about that. Well... Think you can dance and talk at the same time?
Shepard: I think I can handle it.
James:Okay, Loco. Let's dance.
Shepard: Don't let my good looks fool you, Vega. I've got my share of scars.

I seriously hope this isn't real.

For a second I thought you had gone bonkers, until I saw the parentheses. And yeah I did get that impression about him when I first started the game - hey, a non-stereotypical black guy! A FUNCTIONAL Bioware NPC! Then the loyalty mission reared its ugly head...

Once it did I couldn't get myself to initiate romance. My Shepardess drowned her sorrows by sleeping with Chambers while fantasizing about Chakwas.

But you know their thought process. OMIGODWEDIDANORMALPERSONLETSBACKPEDAL

At least that's the feeling I get from dialogue - that the loyalty quest was an afterthought to put the "Bioware" stamp on a relative anomaly.

Might be wrong though

Well ... there is way to avoid saying like this.

He is a gay romance for Yaoi Whales, not gay people ... he is not designed to appeal to men but rather women as he looks like a Chippendale dancer and Yaoi characters pretty much have a similar look.

In short, its a character designed to appeal to women just like most Gay and Lesbian characters on TV series.

I don't think you understand what yaoi is, he's way too muscular and bro-like to appeal to that demographic. He'd need to be a bishonen to be attractive.

Well I dont read it ... unless I am tricked to it so my knowledge is restricted to the ones with crossdressers (since I forgot to check the tags) and covers.

Well ... in a way, yes but also no.

Its not just the aspect of the characters, its their attitude ... "bromance" is pretty fucking gay to me because of the subtext, this seems very common in Yaoi and Yuri Doujinshi (example: Elric/Mustang and, of course the Nanoha/Fate pairing), its not as "typical looking" gay (as bishonen is as standard in non-Yaoi) but you still have the "typical acting" gay.

Look at how FO:NV handled it, you had characters that were but there was no subtext or typical characterization ... they just were but there was also no romancing option, now look at Liara that blows past gender issues and race but as much I like Liara does not changed the fact the romance moved too fact and never bothered addressing Shepard sexual preferences and as such issues can understandable be absent on Liara case (no concept of gender differences, too sheltered to have interacted with non-Asari to be aware of such issues) its certainly not in Shepard case were they should be as the Asari are female from a human point of view.

The non-addressing the issue is very much my problem and as with Liara you almost have a escape ... you have not in James case.

Also lets see I am that wrong if we start seeing the terms seme and uke being thrown about ...

I have to admit, I'm looking forward to ME3, DA3, and whatever else Bioware has coming. I want to see how far they can take their deviant fanfiction before the gaming mainstream catches on. So far, the Mass Effects have been framed as cheap sci-fi action movies, which somewhat masks the creepiness underneath, but for example DA2 barely even tries to hide the fact that it's a dating sim with a combat minigame. I'm curious what depths they'll sink to before crashing and burning.

How can storyfags keep lapping this shit.
I mean, every one who has played Mass Effect, first thing they are saying that story is good. Probably for morlocks it's ok.

 Well, Commander Shepard wasn't gay till the third installment.

Except you know, sharing a bed naked, having a daughter that adressed them both as "mom" and the creators and staff explicitly confirming it. It's all just misinterpreted.
