uh, what's soulbringer like? i'll check the dbase here, but don't remember hearing much about it. the sales pitch says "amazing 3D landscapes" which has me thinking it sucks.

I remember it being "okay". Didnt get very far into it. I remember it being single-dude only (no party).

It has crap realtime combat with combos.

And the "amazing 3d landscapes" are actually very ugly - super low res textures that make the surface of the terrain look very pixelated.

Still, I know some people that enjoyed it. Hunt for some reviews, cos my brief brush with it was hardly enough to get a deep impression and I would hate to put you wrong.

Feck, I even have the original boxed copy lying around on a dusty shelf around here somewhere....nah, couldnt be bothered installing it.

Would anyone be willing to buy PST + IWD2, set up an ebay auction with a Buy it Now price of $14.79 + ebay costs, and add shipping to Ireland under the shipping cost?

I'd pay with paypal, and since ebay/paypal offers insurance on these things, we're both protected and get feedback.

If you don't already own Fallout 1/2 and Planescape then I wonder why you'd be posting on this forum anyway. Fallout is practically a mascot around this joint.

In any case, if you happen to be reading this, and you don't own either game yet, please do yourself a favor and buy them up. They're some of the best RPGs known to man.

The state of insanity.
I lost my original FO games a few years back during a move. Still have PS:T though. I got both FO games in a double pack at Wal-Mart three years ago for $5.99 complete with manuals and everything. Two years ago they had another double pack for them but the manuals were on the CDs themselves and it was $9.99. Go figure.

Why dont you people just download the games, my gawd. If you have to work to find it at a store then god gives you his consent to download it. If you feel really bad just donate some money to interplay.

Yeah honestly, what the fuck. Nobody owns the games anymore. They're abandonware now, and unarguably free. Paying Fed-Ex 20 dollars in S&H fees and paying GoGamer 3 dollars for sending you a couple of cheaply printed cds with no manual, case or packaging isn't going to help anyone.

German and Australian magazines have already released FO/FO2 for free on coverdiscs. They're free. End of discussion.

Well, damn. The time zone difference strikes again. I knew I shouldn't have gone to bed.

Thanks for the generous offer at any rate. I wouldn't have been able to use PayPal, since they don't allow sign-ups from Serbia. There used to be a trick where one could create a fake UK account and then set Serbia as "country of current residence," but it doesn't work anymore.

Why don't I download the games? Well, for one, I have a fucked-up internet connection. Another reason is that I simply want to own the originals for some incomprehensible reason.

As for Amazon.com, being outside the US severely limits what I can order from them. Right now it's just books and music CDs, and I can't even order stuff from Amazon affiliates (like used book sellers and such). Amazon.co.uk categorizes Serbia as "rest of the world," and, thus, has an attrociously high shipping rate.

Hell, I can remember me buying ps;T and fo 1 for about 45 euro a piece. Then came fo 2, bought the european version for about 45 euro...found out it was heavily cencorised and finally went out and found myself an import us copy for 60-70 euro. Funny thing is, these games really were worth the money and I never regretted it for a moment. This offer really is a bargain, too bad they don't ship to europe.

My copies of FO1 & 2 are still back in the U.S. with my roommate. Torment's disc 2 stopped working for no reason (no scratches or anything else), and I lent IWD2 to a friend and never got it back. *sigh*

As for my forum status, I am not interested in what the current computer RPGs have to offer, so I've redirected my activity to PnP RPG forums. I still read the Codex every day, I just don't feel the urge to post.

Maybe if someone from BioWare is reading this, they could buy copies for our European sisters & brothers and then issue a press release about another charitable act!

I think Volourn is trying to be sarcastic. However, his usual, serious responses are generally so inane and simple that it's hard to tell if this is a joke.

volo is a script so, most of time, the humor dissipates throught the code.

Ah, apologies. It was just another of Volourn's profound contributions to humanity.
