While I am not personally very interested in NWN2, mostly because I'm burnt out on D&D games and my machine can't run it, some of my friends are looking forward to it so I kinda pay attention to it's development. If by some miracle I end up with a machine that can run the game sometime in the next couple of years though I'll take a closer look. In the meantime, my only uninformed suggestion would be to remain very cautious of turning any aspect of a game considered a cRPG more arcade-style.

Anyway, the idea of double pressing W is just an idea - we need to put it in to see if it works right. It might turn out that it's a really dumb idea (probably even odds right now), which means we won't ship with it. However, at least exploring things like this makes us think about the game's controls and maybe we'll come up with something better than what is currently in there because we are looking into it.

Whatever you do, make sure it's user-customizable. This is something Troika did well in ToEE: anything on the radial menu could be easily hotkeyed. If you make double-W the default, fine and dandy - just allow me to customize it as I like.

"I prefered to make my own Party."

I hope you realzie that this can *easily* be done in BG series as well.

Yeah, I know, but then I have some sort of weird crisis, cos I think I am missing out on some of the game "content and story" or something because the game is designed to be you plus NPCs (esp in BG2). I played once with a comprimise and had 3 of my PC's, plus 3 NPCs - which was OK. I just prefer when the game is designed to be party based.

As much as I like single character-based games, I feel that there is a definite, and strong niche for party-based games, especially ones with NPCs rather than player-created characters. I don't much care for player made parties. In Pen and Paper games, each party consists of the number of players at the table with each player bringing his own personality and play style to the table.

In games like Icewind Dale where the player creates the entire party, there's none of that chemistry or personality. Games like Baldur's Gate II and KOTOR offer plenty of personality (limited though it is) in comparison to that, and good writing can definitely make up for a lot of the absence of other players.
