Can anyone tell me WTF a tactical shooter is? I assume it used to be something like Operation Flashpoint, or the Old Rainbow Six games, where you commanded AI partners and got dead easily. But now every FPS seems to let you take 5-6 rounds to the face as long as you hide behind a rock for 5 seconds afterwards, and at most allow you to tell two morons to 'go where I'm looking' or 'stop'.
Is it as simple as a shooter uses the dpad to change weapons, and a tactical shooter uses the dpad to give your two commands?

Basically, yeah...it's been watered down (like everything else).
Instead of just running and gunning around, you have to use "tactics" like stealth, knowledge of terrain/environment/weapon characteristics, teamwork, etc. to win

Bah just realized the "smart" player uses that same shit in regular FPSs.
I suppose tacshooters are more dependent on those aspects for a victory condition as opposed to individual rambos who have good FPS skills.

Since my German is lacking and you guys can do it better than the Babel, does the article confirm that this clip is for the game?

Probably. At least, I'm pretty sure lugging around a Techpriest poweraxe isn't on any Codex Astartes to-do list.Jaime Lannister said:A chaos vagina?

Dawn of War not about eye candy? It's a 40k tie-in game, ffs.DoW is one of those games where cool graphics is unnecessary.

Yeah, what's with that fucking idiot?! How dare he even think of a video game implementation of a tabletop wargame that stays true to the actual turn based tabletop wargame?! He must be on crack. And a fucking idiot to boot!Nael said:Frankly, you're a fucking idiot. No one thinks you're cool because you still wish they made turn based strategy games.
