Ahoy there!

What good would be a pirate story without a bit of danger, treasure and mystery?

This looks really, really, interesting. Followed and wishlisted. Though the difficulty is what's going to make or break this type of game for me: meaning it needs to be hard and challenging. If I'm not getting my shit pushed in on multiple fronts then I'm not gaming.

After trying the demo, I will definetely buy it.
I did not play it enough to post more detailed impressions, but here's bunch of screens.

Finished the demo; pretty good game. The story boards feel unique, and they're probably better than voice acting in most lower budget games. The combat has an important movement component, past simple positioning. There are environmental aspects to the combat as well, like height and interactive objects. Definitely worth trying out the demo if you have any interest in a pirate cRPG.

Good to hear they did delay this a bit. Sounds like it could just use a little more on polishing from peoples comments. This one definitely has my interest.

Damn, I really hope to see a big, decision heavy pirate RPG one day. And none of that stuff with "muh pirates good", I want to be able to play a damn murderer who is out for goods and gold. Let me kill damned Spaniards, English and Frogmen like there is no tomorrow until I land in Hilo. And decent sailing + ship combat!

Well, one can dream!

Will there be any branching or is game completely on rails linear experience?
Demo was the linear intro but at the very end you could run around the town during the daytime and it was a more open city map with various tasks/sidequest in it. While it did have a timelimit in there I did botch what appear to be sidequest by picking the wrong dialog choices in a series of them with a priest so it did suggest there was at least some CnC and hubs. Who knows what it will be like once you get a boat and it really opens up.

They mentioned earlier that it is completely narrative driven with predefined story battles.
Would there be any C&C at all is a good question, but I doubt it would be anything significant in any case.
