My experience with the demo. Cleared it with 3 different builds. I had a lot of fun playing. I enjoyed the first Gedonia quite a bit.
Before Update
- Point allocation spent in Strength (max) & Agility. Went with the peasant background story. Melee Spec
- Point allocation spent in Intelligence (max) & Charisma. Went with the nobleman background story. Dark Magic and Leadership spec.
Post Update
- Point allocation spent in Agility (max) & Strength. Went with the mysterious stranger background story. Archery spec.
Character Creation thoughts
- Height slider
- Female hip and titty slider
- More hair colours (black, blue, more blondes etc)
- Zoom in on character face for eye selection
- More eye colours (black, red etc)
- I quite like the background stories and would like to see more. Having unique starting equipment/companion etc is great.
Settings
- A mentally challenged difficulty setting for journalists
- Hide UI for pictures
- Seperate mouse smoothing from mouse acceleration
- Vsync as an option. On one of my pc's I needed to use nvidias vsync to reduce screen tearing
- A save button to save anywhere. As it stand now one must quit to menu and then the player position is reset, sometimes to a great distance.
- Option to turn off battle music.
- Option to turn off player grunts when jumping
Gameplay
- Powerful Strike feel solid and impactful.
- Kick feels great. Would love to see an unarmed spec for monk/bruiser gameplay.
- Appreciate the large inventory
- Dark Magic was my favorite of my specs.
- Looking forward to house building. Should be a bit more difficult that clearing out that npc's rats though.
- I enjoyed the zombie questline. I tried all the various outcomes. The ending with the serenade was terrific
- When the player character lands from a jump they stop briefly. It makes for a less than ideal gameplay feel. Jumping while moving without stopping would make it smoother.
- Two hand hit detection feels off. It needs to be extended slightly.
- When putting a torch on the hotbar then pressing the corresponding button, the player uses the eat animation and consumed the torch. In fairness, the torch does show up when sheating your weapon.
- The Warhorn ability doesn't use a horn but instead makes a tinkle sound with gold coloured hearts.
- The Skeletal Beast isn't a beast. It is a small skeleton that crawls around on the ground.
- The noblemans companion gets stuck, often. In the tower dungeon, they become stuck in doorways, unable to move even when using the regroup command.
Additional Thoughts
- Is a 1st person mode feasible?
- A seperate feminine running animation for female
- Skip dialgue for testing builds
- Less brown NPC's. Not every fantasy setting needs them.
- Town needs optimizing
- The voice actors for Ancelin the male zombie, Horwin, and Old Early are all good with the zombie standing out.

There are numerous examples of this, where the written dialogue doesn't match the voiced dialogue.
Here the difference is "We're a small but unified community"
I moved this boulder and became stuck in the hole underneath. Unable to jump. When pushing the character against walls or in this case small inclines, the player is unable to jump.
In the courtyard, when removing this boulder, a mercenary helmet appears. The helmet, once looted, will then reappear as many times as you loot it.
