Shantae and the Pirate's Curse is a great game. Unfortunately I bought it for the 3DS which I've discovered is a terrible device for platformers. I might buy this again on pc if it gets really cheap.

Shantae was supposed to be some sort of cult game, it originally came out way at the end of the GBC's lifespan so it really took advantage of the hardware, but since there were other consoles coming out it went somewhat unnoticed.Today most of its fanbase is made of waifufags from imageboards, as you can guess by looking at the main character.

Not really trying to insult you either, but to repeat some of my earlier posts here, this board seems like it could be a cool place but it often seems people try way too hard to show how much of a non-sheep/ non-dumbass console tard/whatever compared to other gamers, and I think it gets pretty stupid/tiring after awhile. It's possible to like both deep games and games that are considered more casual /arcadey without being a complete idiot or sheep

Shantae series is good if you like platformers, has a mix of Zelda and Metroid in there to keep it interesting.

It's also pretty funny in a Ranma-esque well made animu sort of a way.
