Basically, they pre-packed the resolution mod and made the launcher. The games themselves are the same that you had in GOG, and you are not forced to use the launcher or the mod anyway. But it's Bethesda...
Edit: Dunno about Tim's face. The icon should be there if you own the gog version, at least.

From their review section its seems they're missing loads of the goodies that came bundled with the previous edition on GOG. They also seem to be separate library entries because I own them all on GOG, but that bundle doesn't detect that I own them.

Yes, Bethesda took almost all of the goodies away, which sucks, but the soundtrack was released for free here: https://archive.org/details/AURAL01 (at least it's said to be public domain, if it's not then I'll edit my post). I guess you could find the Bible elsewere. Tactics had some extra mission(s), though, where you got to meet Mayor Avellone,dunno what happened to that.
I also don't know about the entries, but as I said, if you got the games from before they went away (including that time when they were available for free) you kept everything, and also got access to Bethesda's launcher.

Uh is this new to you? The Fallouts have been back on GOG since last August.

I own the "classic" ones and also have a backup from before. So when I download the installer for that, eg. for the Fallout 1, it's the new Bethesda's package now, I guess. After a quick comparison, this new FalloutLauncher.exe with Bethesda's start screen launches afterwards the same Interplay's launcher (ver 1.2) as before. It's really just pointless optional one step more. So easy to avoid/delete, if that makes one feel better. The high resolution patch is also present.

I just bought the rage of mages pack. Sadly the games (RoM 1 & 2) dont work very well.

-Mouse cursor disappears when text windows pop up- including main menu. Fortunately there are hotkeys for each option.

-Portraits during dialog go out of sync for some reason so its hard to tell whos saying what. Minor issue

-Whats really killing the game is the camera scroll speed. Jesus- If your mouse gets anywhere near an edge your viewpoint goes bat shit turbo across the map. Using arrow keys suck as they are too slow and too far from other hotkeys. Its way too easy to loose control of the view port since alot of the UI is on the edges of the screen.

Why do I keep spending money on old games from the 80s and 90s when they should be free. Could have hired a diseased prostitute to fart in my mouth for the same price.

Can you send us a Support ticket about this so we can investigate?

Also, something to try would be your mouse acceleration. Perhaps if you can tweak that then that should solve or at least tone down the camera scroll speed.

Welcome to GOG, I'm sure they'll start working on a patch right after they fix Magic Carpet 2, Interstate 76 (re-released on GOG in 2010, only 12 micro issues remaining...) and all their other broken releases

I believe that all the GOG-released games on Magic Carpet engine (including DK) are basically unplayable in high res. But yeah, I completely stopped giving GOG any attention after I bought Fantasy General on release and it had exactly the same instascrolling issue that was there when you tried to run it on your own. What's the point, seriously, people are willing to pay for it to get their games in a playable state, not to see the exact same thing you get when you run abandonware in dosbox.
