Gorasul came on 4 CDs. That was more than our cracked copies of BG2, Arcanum, Morrowind... so we imagined "If the game comes on 4 CDs it must be so much bigger and richer in content than our favorites! Wow, this must be amazing!"
everyone knows that number of cds is best indicator of rpg greatness

Any way to get this game? Seems interesting.
Probably only used physical copies.
Abandonware sites.
obtaining this gaym is part of experience. Back in a day you would check CDs trash heap behind the cabbage in the supermarket, now you are likely stuck with abandonware sites indeed. Quick look showed that for whatever reason its easiest to obtain potato version...

The game freezes for me after character creation despite following lukaszek's tips. Eh.

I guess I could dual boot and install Windows XP, but perhaps another time.

You don't need to go as old as XP. I tested it some time ago on 7 and it ran without problems.

since i ran it on 11 and gandalf on 7 i doubt that os is the problem. Did you execute from noov.exe? With compatibility and so on. Or regular executable if only tried noov.

I did encounter a a number of weird issues while stabilizing, but crash after chargen wasnt one of them.

I've recently completed this and as English versions of the manuals don't seem to be available, I've scanned mine:

Gorasul_Instruction Manual.pdf

Gorasul_Short Instruction.pdf

(Let me know if you have any problems downloading these)

A couple of notes concerning the game:

- I installed the game on an old Windows XP laptop (using a physical copy of the game obtained on ebay). The game crashed constantly during combat until I remembered to change the compatibility settings for the Gorasul.exe to "Windows 98". After doing that I never suffered a single crash.

- The game took me about 17 hours to complete at a leisurely pace (including crashes), so most people would take less time.
