Oddly enough, I agree with Volly here. If the main focus of an RPG is combat and that combat is real time clickety click combat than it's an Action RPG. Doesn't matter if it's a great game like Diablo 2 or a shitty one like Mage Knight Apocalypse. It's still an Action RPG. It's nice that a game like Gothic 3 apparently gives you a bunch of choices & consequences.... hence the RPG part of Action RPG.

It still is basically a dungeon crawl but if we're going to label turn based dungeon crawls like the Goldbox series or the Wizardries as RPGs than I think it carries over to real time dungeon crawls as well.
