Angthoron -- it might be a better idea to leave this to either DarkUnderlord or someone else to whom such negotiating powers are officially delegated, as your message is likely to create chaos rather than anything else (unless that is what you're actually aiming for, in which case more power to you); especially seeing as some of the questions you ask are answered in the original post and/or the D:OS thread. (Plus, we have ForkTong monitoring both threads and seeing as he's the game's producer and has already approved the $2500 deal, it is more than likely we can come to a direct agreement with him.)

Yes and no. In regards to relegating this to DU, I completely agree, and, should Sven respond, I'll gladly forward all future communications to DU, as he's the one actually appropriate for final/proper communications and any sort of financial responsibility.

As for chaos, there won't be much of it, unless there are several Codexians in communication with him on the same topic right now. It's just a matter of asking questions, getting answers, and getting people that need to hear the answers to talk to people willing to answer. I did miss the part of ForkTong being the producer, though, that does mean a redundancy in communication. However, Swen specifically mentions that Codex has not yet contacted him personally, which may be a hint to us that we should. So, like I said, once I get a response, I'll gladly direct the business to our boss the DU.

I do admit I jumped a bit over my head here, but hopefully DarkUnderlord won't mind too much.

@Laurents:Well, we just made a decision about what we'll do with Codex & Wahtch. Will be fun :)
this is what Larian said when i asked them
Yes, I just got an e-mail from Swen :)

Clarifying a couple of points, then sending it to DU in a PM, so he can do with it as his Dark Underlordishness desires.

wow, that must've been a pretty big disagreement.
could you go in details? o_o
Sorry, the extra info comes with the Codex Potato DLC.
for some reason i don't believe you, even then , i don't really have money to spend right now
Here you go - http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/index.php?threads/rpgcodex-forums-are-a-cesspool.41125/

While it's not exactly the origin, it will give you the general gist of the matter.

It was the porn spam that caused me to never start an account there. I lurked awhile.

I simply don't trust a site with such lax control over the users' posts. Children do play these games, you know. Heck, I did when I was a kid, and if I ever had one of my own, they'd start out on The Bard's Tale just the same as me. I wouldn't want my kid running across that at 12 years old.

i've always loved the: protect the children excuse.
i mean, why would you bother? almost every kid has seen a tit and kids grow up and eventually look at porn, bunch of pussies if you ask me

Did my part. Now it's time to invoke the spell, consequences be damned!

I'm here on behalf of the RPG Codes, as the user Angthoron, to find out if we might have some stretch goals added if (when, rather) we manage to reach goals higher than 2500 dollars. A lot of our members are donating, but since Top 20 is already in a 100-60 dollar bracket, many of the 50, 40, 30 etc donators won't get a copy of the game unless the upper tier folk forfeit their rewards (many will, as I am, for example, already taking part at a $65 tier at Kickstarter).

So, would you be willing to give us more goodies of some sort in case we provide larger (3000) or significantly larger (3500, 4000, 4500, 5000) sums of money? We realize it's still a drop in the sea, and you have a tight budget and schedule to follow, but obviously, our guys would appreciate anything you might offer.

One of our members mentions something about a potential faction war, trolls vs watchtowers, or something of that sort - I'm sadly not certain what this might be about (yet), so if you know anything about it and if it has been brought up, is this something that you might be considering to add? We'll understand if that's too much, though, as you're running the Kickstarter to make the game better, not add extra fanbase content. Still, this, or something like it, would obviously be quite awesome. To quote the user:

well, i read somewhere (i think the comment section of the kickstarter) something about factions.
what about that? the codex vs the watchtower in an all out war
Of course, it'll be our pleasure to fund you in any case, as Larian is one of the companies that is worth a lot more support than it has sadly received so far. We will be glad knowing we helped making your game better.

Best regards,
Angthoron

I edited out some bits, in case you guys think this looks abrupt. Like the first two paragraphs where I talked unrelated things.

Disgraceful. Might have as well begged to suck all of Larian's cocks. You little cockroach.

Yeah, wouldn't want kid seeing tits at 12 years old. It's entirely fine for them to see extreme violence. LOL in fact I did character creation for my 5 year old in Fallout and gave him the Bloody Mess trait trollol take that son.

and when i was around 6, i played manhunt
i think i turned out alright

"Four crazy, lying statues, that have been granting wishes and making everyone's life miserable."

I was going to suggest Cleve, but since his account of Sir-tech gained crazy credibility in the 'Why did Sir-tech go bankrupt' thread, how do we turn Skyway into a name that would fit the game world?

If you had to wait an entire hour post-birth, you would have been one seriously hungry and pissed off infant. Might explain the Codex's general atmosphere:)
