And when exactly was it common? Keep in mind that when we're talking about the oldies, we usually mean the brilliant games of the period. Much crap was released back then too, only the crap titles (with crap music too) faded into obscurity.

EDIT: According to youtube I'm on the last level of Extase, that is quite surprising.

EDIT 2: The tracks from Dune are, in order:

0:00 Sign of The Worm
2:00 Spice Opera
3:23 Dune Theme
4:55 Too
6:23 Free Men
7:30 Chani's Theme

At least those are the names from Exxos - Spice Opera. I think I generally prefer the game versions of them, although the album has it's own charms.
