I've got an alt with Lawspeaker at Codexia who shall forever remain Lawspeaker of Codexia. I can appoint chieftains as necessary.

We just hirdported pretty much everyone who was online out to the new place. It's a simple summons and we can do pretty much as many people as we want in one trip with some crafty logging-in and out tricks.

I might need to setup another alt just for Chieftain... but we should be fine. I suspect we'll have a village shortly and it'll be easy enough to port people directly there then.

Semester finishes up this friday, and then things won't be so hectic and I should be able to actually play some more. My brother and I are in codexia, assuming he didnt get himself killed (he was down to 1hhp the other day and having trouble finding a loom), and a port would be supersweet this weekend.

I am all for doing new codexia same as old codexia, but with some new know-how under our belts. I think I will be going nature and starting to farm, as it doesn't appear that mining is going to play a large part of my time. I am not interested in being a part of a town where I am told what I have to do, because I'm not fucking interested in playing the game that way. I will however, not fuck people over and do what I can to contribute. My brother just wants to farm shit, since hes into that whole thing (he played the fuck out of harvest moon and that type of shit).

And why don't you just take denizsi's h&h access away, du? Her fucking constant threatening trolling is trite and loathesome.

Strap Yourselves In Codex Year of the Donut Codex+ Now Streaming! Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.

I dont think the game should be played that way anyway.

I think there should be discipline and order to not let everyone do what they want and make some use of everybody but it should be limited. That means everyone should choose their profession and get orders appropriate for this profession but not too much to have some free time and do something else they want.

Or we should create a teams, like "builders", "farmers", "hunters" etc. then just post on forums orders for whole teams (ie. "I need new house here and there" or "There's a need for boar's skins") and anyone from that team who wants to do it will do it, while the others can do something else they want.

Just thinking out loud, though.

Yeah that's actually my preferred approach for a game. Obvioulsy we need some order to build a town and get anything done and when we decide to do time critical things like silk or steel, there will need to be some sacrifices made in terms of getting it done vs freedom but everyone will be on board when we decide to do that.

I think what people want is a more generalised "Skins go here"; "We need X leather for this or that", "We'll build the bakery here, it'll be this big", "Can the cooks try and get a chest full of Pirs ready for trade?". As opposed to a constant "WTF WHY HASN'T THIS HAPPENED YESTERDAY WHY THE FUCK WEREN'T YOU ONLINE GRINDING CLAY FOR 17 HOURS DON'T TOUCH THAT YOUR SKILLS SUCK". IE: Willing to accept that people will help around town when they want and sometimes that means things will take a while to get done; but we'll get there eventually.
