Neither Moonpaths, nor Coldharbour have anything to do with Beth being lazy, they are just in-setting expansions.

Even Requiem doesn't have anything to do with beth being lazy (but ok, Morrowloot does), it has to do with them catering to spastic consoletards.

CWO deals with Beth being lazy according to the author though. He claims much of the stuff he's been doing was reenabling things Beth had turned off because they couldn't figure out how to make it work. When I see those maps with flags in all the major holds I find it pretty easy to believe some kind of grand civil war campaign was planned, but got nixed because their target audience has the attention span of goldfish

Well, he mods the game in his spare time. What's Bethesda's excuse?

They didn't do it in their spare time and had to actually pay people for work done?

This plus bethesda has been terminally disorganized since day one (at least on their good days, on bad days they make oblivions) and has had knuckle-typers for coders since day one as well.

How do I get SKSE to work with a non-removed copy (or is it just bunch of bull on the part of the author. Google seems to suggest it only cares I have the right patch)?

Is there just a flat list of recommended mods?

SKSE: Copy the .dll and .exe files to your Skyrim directory (where the tesv.exe is). Start the game with skse_loader.exe.

Freeform adventuring powered by Requiem.

Is there anything to make the UI not shit?
1. SkyUI - brings the GUI to the level of highly modded oblivious - still inferior to Morrowind but overall p. good. as opposed to OH GOD WHY.
2. Immersive HUD - configurable HUD element hider, but first and foremost it allows hiding of quest/locations/enemy compass

I'm thinking about buying the Skyrim, which will cost me almost nothing thanks to the bros buying from me those pretty cards, and i have a question: are the big 2 DLC's worth the few €, or can i skip them without losing too much nice content?

Just find the version that corresponds with your game. Or download the latest patch for Skyrim and use the version featured on his homepage.

Get Dragonborn. Fuck Dawnguard.

I've only played Dawnguard, which is not that great, but adds some content you might enjoy if you want to play a werewolf or vampire. Probably not worth it just for that, though.
Dragonborn is supposed to be better, if probably mostly for nostalgia.
If deciding between the two, Dragonborn

Another reason to get them both is that some mods require them nowadays.
I'd say either buy the legendary edition or wait for some serious sale (>50% savings) on the DLC.

So it just cares about version and doesn't bitch if I have a non-steam copy like I infered?

Why give Bethesda your money? They aren't the ones that made the game playable. Use your card money on Ys: Origin and The Oath in Felghana if they go on sale again. Their publisher (both NF and XS) are both worthy of doshe.

Content aside many mods you may really want to use *require* expansions - for example Requiem won't work without Dawnguard (aside from some horribly outdated and buggy early versions) and Requiem is not unlikely to be the single best thing that has been made for Skyrim - so if you actually want Skyrim and want a legit version instead of getting legally deficient trial version first, you need to get both DB and DG as well.

Don't get HF as it's been made for sims-fans and no self-respecting mod needs it anyway.

Thanks, guys. :bro:
I would get Dawnguard just for the crossbows (and the kickass Dawnguard armor), they just feel "right", from the punch they give to the reload animation, easily best weapon type in the game. Dragonborn is good too, a bit of wasted potential but it's a great tribute to Morrowind with the Telvanni, Redoran, bonemold armor the Dunmer culture, plus it has a 2-handed sword that shoots lazers or something and staff-making.

Nah, as far as I can tell if doesn't even let you load it from steam, it comes with its own launcher.

I tried finding a readme or such, but no luck.
Then you've searched poorly: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/readmes/Requiem - The Roleplaying Overhaul_readme.txt <-the readme that's also available on mod's page.

What's it compatible with?
Depends. What do you want to run it with?

Short and necessarily incomplete lists:
9) Known compatible mods
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please consider that Requiem does touch about everything there is in the game - every mod loaded after it WILL break something, though it is hard to tell how big the conflicts get. Also, please keep in mind that just because a mod is listed as compatible here, it does not automatically mean that it plays well with Requiem! It just means that there are no technical problems associated with its use with Requiem!

This is why I highly stress to put it at the absolute end of your load order, and only make exceptions if you are a 1000% sure why there should be something loaded after it!!!

- Practically any graphic-enhancing mods
- Practically any mod that deals with pure animations
- Practically any Interface-enhancing mods (SkyUI, for example)

- Alternate Start - Live another Life
- ASIS (I suggest that you do flag Requiem NOT to be affected by it!)
- Auto Perk Stats Level
- Bandolier - Bags and Pouches
- Banks of Skyrim
- Belua Sanguinare
- Better Fast Travel - Carriages and Ships (before Requiem)
- Better Vampires (before Requiem)
- Brawl Bugs Patch (highly recommended)
- Bring out your dead
- Cerwiden Smart Follower
- Character Creation Overhaul
- Classic Classes and Birthsigns (Please use the compatibility patch here!)
- Cloaks of Skyrim
- Convenient Horses
- Deadly Dragons (after Requiem)
- Deployable Traps
- Dual Wield Parrying
- Economics of Skyrim
- Ely's Uncapper
- Ethereal Elven Overhaul (use the compatibility patch!)
- Extensible Follower Framework
- Frostfall - Hypothermia Camping Survival
- Fires Hurt
- Get Snowy
- Guard Dialogue Overhaul (before Requiem, check it out!)
- Harvest Overhaul
- Horse commands
- Hypothermia
- Immersive armors (before Requiem)
- Imps more complex Needs (after Requiem)
- Interesting NPCs
- Ishs soul to perk
- Jaysus Swords (before Requiem)
- Khajiit Speak (after Requiem; check this out if your character is a Khajiit!!!)
- Locational Damage (might cause balancing issues)
- Lorecraft
- Mighty Dragons (after Requiem)
- Morrowloot
- Move It
- No Quest Items
- Proper Aiming (after Requiem)
- Radiance (before Requiem)
- Realistic Lighting without Post-Processing (I've been told that this is very immersive, it'll also make darkness darker, so all veteran dungeon crawlers might want to take a look here!)
- Realistic Needs and Diseases (after Requiem, use the compatibility patch! High recommended if you want to get more out of food!)
- Realistic Speed
- SKSE
- Skytest (Load it after Requiem, but consider that it will have a minor influence on some animal encounter difficulties!)
- Subliminal Traps
- Tales of lycantrophy
- The Choice is Yours
- Sneak Tools
- Ultimate Follower Overhaul (needs to be loaded after Requiem, but we're all not sure what side-effects this MAY cause)
- Unofficial Skyrim Patch (before Requiem, highly recommended)
- Unofficial Dawnguard Patch (before Requiem, highly recommended)
- Vilja in Skyrim
- Warzones
- Winter is Coming 2.0 (before Requiem)

Requiem - Submods:

- Requiem - Rebalanced Potions Weight

10) Known incompatible mods
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Mods that add new Monsters (like Skyrim Monster Mod): Generally, they are compatible, but there are certain things that will cause a rather weird experience when using such mods with Requiem. Most of Requiems creature templates will not work on new ones, and the leveling system and overall encounter difficulty might vary greatly. Use on your own risk!

- Skyrim Monster Mod
- Skyrim Redone
- Soul Gems Differ
- Third Era Attributes for Skyrim

Oh. You will generally want to start a new character too.

Only 4 files that show up for me on the Nexus are the normal game, the no-Dawnguard version, a hotfix and an outdated version.

Also you mentioned Heavy Armory with it a few pages ago and it isn't on the list. How does that work?
