It was disappointing to read through a lot of genuine concerns regarding the codex's moderation and direction, only for Litmanen to come in and temporarily shit up the thread with his low-effort attention-seeking.
KCDII will turn out exactly as people predicted and the usual suspects that are shitting up this thread will be nowhere to be seen then.
you mean one of the highest rated RPG's in recent years?
don't forget to take your SSRI's tranny.
Because here at the Codex we care a lot about ratings, especially from mainstream journalists.
you're absolutely right. ratings never reflect reality, certainly not steam sales, preorders or personal experiences and hype for the sequel to a beloved game. instead, we should to listen to miserable fucks with 30k posts on obscure forums (that devs purposely avoid) who only play games from 20+ years ago and who can't function without their daily dose of jewish big pharma pills. that's the best measure of what is a good game.
Scenario 1: Months and months of monotonous, one-note, and repetitive threads just to let us know how much they hate Dragon Age: Veilguard.
Dragon Age: Veilguard flops (because it's simply a shitty game), and the Codex rejoices:
"Hell yeah, we made another one of these gay-slop-goy-soy-gnigni-gnegne games fail, despite the shill journalists!" And so begins the flood of ten thousand images about sales, concurrent players, negative reviews, and everything else, because "wokers" are just a tiny niche that causes developers to fail.
Scenario 2: Weeks and weeks of monotonous, one-note, and repetitive threads emphasizing how much KCD II has sold out to the gay-slop-goy-gnigni-gnegne agenda.
KCD II sells incredibly well, already has countless very positive reviews, and the number of concurrent players keeps skyrocketing. The Codex does not rejoice and declares: "Well, of course, because the shill journalists made the wokers buy it. Those numbers don’t count." Yet these are the same "wokers" who supposedly made Veilguard flop because they are a tiny, insignificant niche.
So, are Codexers and all the other internet warrior morons actually as influential as they think, or are they just a bunch of idiots? I lean toward the latter. Face it: games fail because they’re poorly made, and they succeed because they’re well made. Not because of "woke content" or because
YOU decide the fate of the industry.
You're just a bunch of desperate idiots.
