Well, that sounds promising, but if the combat is too arcady and lame it could kill it (for me) no matter how good the rest is.

Hi all,

It's Lukas from CD Projekt (developer of “The Witcher” game). Thank you for your interest in the game and all the posts about it, including critical (of course thanks for more moderate voices as well - thnx Dhruin). I do not want to be too specific here. More detailed answer for all the mentioned issues would be too long. But I assure that your opinions matters to us and we listening them very carefully. I understand most of your apprehension. Why? Because in CDPR we are fans of RPGs too (we are not from the outer space, really:) and with many things/issues you’ve mentioned we agree in 100%.

We also plan some changes in our communication in near future – it will be less redefined;) and more informative. I hope thanks to that some things will clear up a little bit…

Please mind that we are still learning, there is no doubt about it, and that's why some mistakes happen to us occasionally. However we do our best and I hope that you’ll be satisfied with the final product (I hope that even a little bit positively surprised;)

We would also like to put “role” back in RPG:)

Welcome to the Codex, Lukas. Looking forward to seeing you guys "redefine" your communication channels and hearing a bit more info on the game. ;)

I just want to see you guys get a publisher who won't nerf your title and maybe even promote it.

We're looking for someone like that:). The game is in a production phase and at this point there's no need to hurry about searching. The Cd Projekt is negotiating with many publishers and as for now we're rather optimistic.

I have no idea why this struck me so damn funny...perhaps because its 6am, I'm still working, and I'm giddy...but I couldn't stop laughing every time I read this. :D

Must admit this game has grabbed my attention - from what I've seen and read, it's graphically nice but not overcooked, and has a nice backstory.

I'm a little concerned that it might be a bit combat-heavy for my tastes, but it's really early days yet.

The hype is stupid though. Leave that kind of shit to Bethesda. It almost put me off the game entirely.
