People with beards like Jeff Vogel's are universally disgusting, this is fact. If you don't have the decency to be clean shaven, neatly trimmed, or have fashionably neat stubble then you're a rotten slob.

Also, the last good game Vogel made was Exile 2. Exile 3 was not bad, but had a shit story and shit enemy's (seriously, giant cockroaches?? You have the entire fantasy roster to draw from, and that is what you come up with? WTF is this, starship troopers?)

Everything else he has made has been subpar. Sorry, Geneforge was crap. It was shit. Just because you can finish the game with lololololoDIPLOMACY!!!!11!!! does not mean it is good by any means. I mean, if all you do in the game is pump points into the sole diplomacy skill and select the sole OBVIOUS option that comes up during conversations, you are playing the wrong genre. Go play adventure games instead. RPGs are all about combat you dumbshit.

Anyhow, the really funny part was when he claimed he could make his graphics as good as Eschalon, back when Eschalon came out. But then argued like what's the point, etc etc. Someone tell him graphics matter, even in indies. Exile 2 and 3 were graphically superior to the shit he has churned out since. The fireball spell effect for example, is still really good. The great feeling you get when you wipe out a mob with that spell is still amazing.

Anyhow, with kickstarter Vogel should be able to raise enough dough to make his dream game, so he really has no excuse now.
