Ambrov X: here is the chance for all the SJWs to put their money where their mouth is. This is their game!

And here's a choice quote from Hepler in update #2 (regarding what she likes in games):
Wow yeah that sounds like a blast! Sign me up!

For just $750k a person who doesn't like games will help design the game!

Is this a joke? Is there any one who likes Helper?

I can easily imagine Kotaku publishing an article (en)titled: "BACK THIS, OR YOU'RE A MISOGYNIST!", and 3 hours later, game is fully funded...

My God, this is the kinda of photo you get in some place hidden and hope you will never see it again to not be reminded how bad your taste is, the fact that they place this photo on the first page shows the good sense. They really look like trustworthy responsible developers, don't they? Just look the list of titles in the first page, that is the classic, let's copy what everybody is doing but don't put much thought on it. It is irresistible to give money for people responsible for such gems like:X men Origins Wolverine,Spider man web of shadows and Assassin creed bloodlines. I think they got Helpler so they can put some Bioware games on the first page and they choose Dragon Age , Old Republic:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: and DA 2:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:.

They would have done a kickstarter but finnish laws prohibit it/make it a pain in the ass.

Flatout was pretty fun and this looks like a direct spiritual successor to the franchise, could be good.

Have mixed feelings about this, really wish Eagle Dynamics would focus on their modern-day study sims. :(

Posting in this thread to laugh at Ambrov X. Hope they weren't expecting to succeed.

This is the kind of project I would like it to be funded, only for the team become unable to finish and deliver the game, generating massive butthurt, but a well deserved lesson on anyone who backed that shit. The funniest thing about it is how those guys praise fan fiction authors as if they're literature nobel prize contenders...

~$14,500 out of $34,000 pledged after KS, Amazon, taxes and contractor fees? Amazon and KS is 10%, so that's about $30,600 leftover, and do you actually have to pay taxes on kickstarter payments? I'm no accountant, but that seems like a lot of money to spend on contractor fees on a game that barely had any graphics and produced only a tech demo, and used a free roguelike library.

It's easy to make excuses and promises of refunds when there's almost nothing linking this back to his identity other than a non-unique name on the KS page.

Not to defend the guy but, yes, if you are not business savy or, worst, you folow Kickstarter's guidelines that figures as taxable income, it's not the first time that happens.

    Edit:
    Here an apt article:

The co-op mode where you each controlled 2 guys and fought 5 cpu soldiers was one of the most fun things ever.

I just watched the pitch, it's not really what I'm looking for. It sounds like he wants to make a full blown real time tactics game when the genius of the first one was that it was an action game with light tactical elements.
