I do miss playing some brawlers.
But $180,000 for an officially licensed, North American follow-up... makes it feel all wrong.
Why didn't they went for their own IP instead of burning money on the license?
This makes it a dangerous precedent where one day all IPs will be held to ransom.
Yeah, I hear that - though they did spend their own money on the license and pre-production. And the fact is that the River City Ransom name would help sales. I know I've always wanted another one, and I love that its "8-bit" styled.

Man, Volgarr is fucking HARD! I've been playing it since it was in beta, and it kicked my ass at every corner.

It really is. I finally made it to level three after I-don't-even-want-to-remember how many attempts. I think it's awesome but I can see a lot of people being frustrated by the save system (or lack thereof).
Anyone have any clue as to how to fight the boss on level 3? Seems like the first time he swoops down on you is unavoidable...
I dig the difficulty... I think, though, a save system would be nice! Haha, or a slot to throw more quarters into!

It appears others have similar concerns, or the original game isn't nearly as popular as it should be. This campaign looks dead in the water with 11k raised so far.

I haven't bought Volgarr yet, as I've started playing megaman. Currently finishing MM 1 (@ last stage)... and man! That thing is tough!
It makes me wonder how I finished those back in the day.
