They are not going to give a shit. They'll never stray from their formula. Elder Scroll VI will be just like Skyrim except possibly more dumped down. They'll even keep using Gamebryo.

Ok, combat has seriously gotten so easy (with no exploits) that I'm feeling more and more disappointed with it. Even with the parry/riposte spam of the enemies I don't struggle against any number right now. Just wildly swinging pretty much works.

This would likely be less of an issue if the stats didn't make you so overpowered after a while and especially if the combat system was a free-aim system instead of a lock-based, console-style one. Enemies can't really sprint properly at you (and your sprint is kind of slow, too) which makes a big difference, and they don't quite work together either. They need to be much more aggressive... In order to keep the balance in check, maybe add a companion or two. Maybe just regular mercs you can hire or something. The game's not really built to counter you much once you get strong, stat-wise, sadly. A.I. can't deal with it.

I still wish combat was a lot faster with more powerful footwork and without the exaggerated drawing back for the swings and the lock on and such, and with the blades held more towards the enemy. Damn console influence :/
Edit: Also, remove the stupid slomo awesome-button counters and such. Those really are straight up assassin's creed, although they only kill easily if you have high stats.

I was going to say the same thing. The AI needs to be more aggressive and combat needs to be faster. I haven't played much since i'm still waiting to upgrade my shit but that's the impression i got.

I see modders are already working at making the game look worst. Making everything in the distance look like what you'd see through thick cataracts is certainly an improvement.

Probably 90% of the presets made by players are fucking ugly.
Maybe they're just compensating for their own shitty monitor settings or poor panels and don't even realize it.

Well, I wager most of the player base is on some sort of TN panel, probably of the "gaming" variety too.

I'm not sure how the combat is in late game, but I'm only level 7 and it's been pretty easy so far. Haven't even had to use any healing ever.
If what people are saying is true then I hope they release a Hardcore game mode where it doesn't slow down for parries/counters or something 'cause it's already braindead tier.

Now that you mention it, I haven't had to ever really use healing items either haha. I ended up overburdened because I slowly kept accumulating more and more of the healing potion things.

Can't believe how many stealth missions I'm thrown into here... Are you supposed to level all your skills? I read that you would able to build your own Henry, but by ignoring the thieving aspect of the game it feels like I have seriously crippled my guy. He gets spotted 50 meters away in pitch darkness and yes I am naked. Anyway the last couple of missions have been a frustrating mess. Quests that doesn't trigger properly, no combat for like 3-4 hours, got my legit equipment marked as stolen (yes all the inventory) and when I get in combat I get ambushed by 3 guys bashing on me from all directions in a story mission. Like Ezeekiel is saying it's not really hard if you got the armor, but it's just un-fun mess. Then there is forced stealth and thieving when I try to roleplay as a honorable guy... I don't know. It's like there is two games in one here. One open world knight/bandit simulator and a linear story based game- that to me feels disconnected from the action taken by the character in the open world part of the game, especially if you do any banditry or maybe even visa verse in my case. I'm a nice guy that do good things in the open world, but then in the story missions I lie, steal, murder and blaspheme. Oh well.

Just to make sure, are you exploring all the options you have, or are there none? So far I've not felt terribly constrained in terms of quest solutions... Like with the thieves quest for example, you can just buy the ring... Don't know if you can get help from rattay or talmberg for the hunting quest when the little lord gets captured, or how it reacts if you do already have a horse, but I thought the choices you had usually make it possible to pass most or all quests with any build? It's just that some of the options aren't really obvious at all or not pointed out to you.

Don't want to spoil anything since I don't know how far into the game you are. But I'm pretty far into the main story (I think). I'm in Sasau. I do try to think out of the box, but you kinda have to do some questionable things.

The stealth in this game doesn't feel great. NPC reactions seem random, there are no sort of indicators showing how exposed you are, light level, sound level, etc... It seems to be Skyrim-like, where at level 1 people will see you in pitch darkness and at higher levels you can't be seen in broad daylight.

The only thiaf quest I was "thrown" into (albeit I think it's optional) is getting wine for Hans
and he had keys in his trunk so I just had to pass a speech check.

Out of curiosity I finished Scorned Womyn quest (steal 4 things for old harlot) and got and ending...

...that made me really doubt going further into stealing shit for people. Developers even carefully changed area where things happened after that quest resolution - I checked. Mafia spirit is stronk in this one.

There was also Executioner's second quest where my thiaf actions were to just walk to two people and beat them up and take keys from them. I solve most thiaf situations this way lol.

My guess main quest is problematic in giving you choices. For example, can you NOT drink with a priest?

I gotta replay the game in a completely different way: being super christian in main quest, yet being nu Garrett and breaking everywhere in actual game world.

I still need to get Necronomicon though, I heard you get into Monastery later during main plot but I wanna try doing it simply by lockpicking stuff.

Also, in a quest where you... lockpick hen's anus... laughing just writing it... I lockpicked wise womyns chest and found a recipy for Lucifer's oilment. I even crafted it and drank it (after beating wise womyn with a mace of course). Turned whole screen color reversed but no NPC turned into an animal. Quite a missed opportunity this option. I also found same potion in god forgotten southern corner near idol in a circle of mushrooms.

Yeah, I'm not there yet, but I don't mind spoilers.
Tell me what's up and I'll try to get there myself and see if there are any options you've overlooked.
It would be a bit disappointing if the devs stopped offering varied quest solutions half-way through the game, considering that that is one of the game's strengths imo.

What's great is that new quests just pop up in every old location as game goes on. I wonder if some of them are tied to things like reputation or previous quests.

It might be level, reputation, previous quests. There are star markers that won't give me any leads, and maybe that's 'locked'.

How will Bethesda respond with Elder Scrolls VI?

Settlements, diversity and gay buttsex

He hired a german marketing office for crisis management or something, which is specialist for "such" cases, the bottom line of this wall of text is nothing else than: Dindu nuffin.

He says it is a shame calling him a nazi because his granddad was in a nazi gulag, but he fled. After this czech got repressed by communism by another 40 years and free speech is the most important thing. Also that 150 people worked on this game and they could loose their jobs because of such statements. Also that the burzum shirt hadnt any afterthoght and so on.

Fucking waste of time, time would have been better spent in bugfixing.
