And where did I demonize them? I'm just saying, seriously, that to immediately leap to the idea that 'KOTOR 2' will have a better story than 'KOTOR 1' because of the magic that is Obisidian is behind it makes no sense - particularly when Obisidian itself seems much more focused on the combat aspects of the game rather than much else. :S

No, that's really all that's been covered in the previews because COMBAT IS FUN or some such. Obsidian has a lot of BIS's bestest people who worked on some pretty nice CRPGs even before BIS was formed. For example:

Feargus Urquhart - Level design on Fallout(Interplay), Fallout 2
Chris Avellone - Level design on Fallout 2, Lead Design on PlaneScape: Torment
Chris Jones - Programmer Fallout and Fallout 2, Arcanum(Troika)

None of those games are combat fest dungeon crawlers, though each one of them has also done some dungeon crawl work on the IWD series(except Feargus, he just pushed the others around at that point).

Yeah; but that's Saint. He doesn't count. Outisde of Bethseda and a few others; the box shoe down the street would be better than BIO developed games in his opinion. Don't take him too seriously on that subject.

Shoe boxes are cool.
