decided to dust this game off and try out mods.

Playing Lost City right now. Don't like the food limit, not because I'm lacking for food (I'm not yet), but because it limits playability with farmers. Didn't take a farmer this time around because of it. If I do somehow get into "no-win" scenario, I have no qualms about using the console to get out of it. It'll probably be ok for a non-farmer using party though.

Also, it was torture to find magical implements for my two alchemist casters. i think from now on I'm going to just say "fuck it" and spawn in however many basic wands I need at the start. Lugging around 2 dead weights for 2 areas and a dungeon is not my idea of a good time.

As an aside, I looked at the some of the gameplay "improvements" for Guardians. Some of them are pants-on-head retarded, such as making "light" a fucking 4th level concentration spell and requiring a red gem for it (because fuck you that's why). The mod creator deserves a few bitch slaps for that one. Or nerfing the Barbarian's hp/energy and a few others. I'll probably still play it once done with LC, but I'm going to have to rethink my team choices.

edit - I take it back on the food bit. I had so much food that when I restarted due to mistakes made I did my normal Human farmer mage. With a few red gems used on food he was level 17 by the time I left the swamp. He's nineteen now (troll plateau). I'm not really leveling him anymore due to the stupidly high xp requirement, but I might aim for 20 if I stock up enough food (and I already have 3 full boxes and 3 full bags of food just lying around at base). Not that he needs it. He's already covering all important magical needs.

So yeah.
