"Welcome to the planet Terrahive. A planet that never should have existed. Completely encrusted in a disease called humanity. Corporate arcologies and space elevators shadow the layers of polluted man-made edifices. It's about time to Let Bions Be Bygones.
Greetings detectives, and welcome to our first dev diary!

Important times are coming for "Let Bions Be Bygones," and, firstly, we would like to take a moment to express heartfelt gratitude to everyone (more info about the martyrs in the credits after you finish the game) who has been part of the exceptionally challenging process of creating our quirky future-noir detective adventure.

Your feedback, criticism, and praise have encouraged us and fundamentally shaped how we want to present this game. Its concept is anything but simple: uncompromising freedom, choice-driven gameplay, and super complex reactions to each player's decision.

Why did we do this to ourselves with our first game?
Bohemian Pulp is a small, independent game development team that has set itself a serious task: To meet and at least nudge the demanding standards of narrative enjoyment in an interactive medium. When we gift our invaluable free time to video games, we expect a quality story, characters we can connect with, and an interactive experience that honors our decisions, offering real choices rather than the illusion of choices that lead to predetermined outcomes.

For that exact reason, we are doing our absolute best to make those choices logical, surprising, exciting, and satisfying, intending to both "hurt" and propel the player forward, no matter their choice. Will we manage to pull it off? We did our part in melting our brains and buttocks multiple times over, but in the end, *you* will decide.

Creating such a story demanded that each member of our team "branch out" their respective mind palaces over the vastness of the world we are building, its characters, philosophy, mythology, and the hierarchy of forces ruling it... and then provide the players with enough freedom to solve the Case on their terms.

Detective John Cooper, whether he wants it or not, is an integral part of that fluid machinery, actively influencing it with his behavior. Throwing Cooper into such a world required an investment of time, countless hours of work, and mental energy, which, during the last four and a half years, was surely the most serious test for all of us in our respective careers (and our collective mental well-being).

With that in mind, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their selfless support. This game grows thanks to the community of genre enthusiasts and fans of quality storytelling in video games. Your fantastic impressions and reactions with every new trailer, demo, teaser, and even screenshot have clearly indicated to us that we are doing the right thing, writing a quality story, and unveiling a world that is very strange, colorful, dangerous, and yet remarkably close to all of us.

As this is just the beginning of our public dialogue with the Steam community, we can announce that in the coming period, there will be many more updates related to our work on "Let Bions Be Bygones." So please keep your eyes wide open and give us a follow!
This will include more about the game's aesthetics, interesting facts about Terrahive's world, its denizens, and tech, and, of course, important information about the game's release!
