The recent War of Peace with the Bihari has taken its toll on the Andhairavid people. Not enough to render the iron fist of the Empire ineffective, but enough to dissuade the Shah from immediate war. Andhaira opts instead for a short period of peace, to bring the Empire into order and to make further war preparations. In perhaps three or four years time, the Andhairavid Army will march on Vijayanagar.
Go eat a rancid dick. You know that's a load of shit, God. Horrific administration or no, war is now inevitable, so why do you keep shitting on my porridge?
The Gondwanans have declared war on the Kingdom of Bihar, now reduced to a mere city-state. When this war is brought to a close, the Shah will attack. Neither Andhaira nor his generals wish to attack while the eastern front is unstable.
The inane, glorious patriotism of the Sikh people reaches a fever pitch. The one true faith is brought into the rest of Nepal on a tide of Sikh Attack Goats. Sikhism continues its inexhaustible advance through India.
The Superstar has taken personal command of the main Vidyanegro force. It would appear that he has split his standing army, which is not that much smaller than the Shah's, into smaller forces of between twelve and fifteen thousand. Perhaps he seeks to make up for his numerical inferiority with maneuverability and local numerical superiority. The Shah is confident that sheer brute power, a vast manpower reserve and a bloody minded drive for victory will see his soldiers through.
Two infantry regiments and two cavalry regiments are recruited out of Baluchistan and Sind, to bolster the Baluchi Horde. Andhaira has intended for the Baluchi Horde to follow the Delhi Horde on the southwestern front. This leaves the Empire unprotected from large scale revolt, but insures the Shah against any unforeseen calamities.
Fuck a goat Rajini, no title for you. (Not least because it would ruin my localization modding, so he wouldn't be a Superstar anymore.)
A wave of religious fervor and glorious Jingoism spreads even into the recently conquered southern provinces. The people of Maharashtra, one of the many jewels in the Andhairavid crown, have embraced the teachings of the Gurus.
And so, after over a decade of preparation, with the Andhairavid forces numbering a mighty 62,000, a further 60,000 or so in reserve, on the 1st of April 1645, Shah Andhaira of the Andhairavid Empire sent his declaration of war to the Superstar Rajini I Kanth of the Vidyanegro Kingdom.
It's time for the ultimate dance-off.
Immediately, Andhairavid troops begin swarming into Vidyanegro lands. The Shah specifically maneuvers to avoid an initial confrontation with the Superstar himself. Instead, he moves to attack a supporting force in Konkan, hoping to isolate the Superstar from reinforcements.
Along the eastern front, the Gujarati Horde marches into the Kingdom of Deva Bengal. The Raja of Deva Bengal is a vassal and ally to the Superstar. On orders from Andhaira himself, the Horde moves to knock out this potentially troublesome foe, so that all Andhairavid forces can be focused on the real enemy to the south.
Immediately, at Vanga along the Ganges Delta, the unimpressive Bengali army is obliterated.
The Superstar decides he's not going to take any of Andhaira's shit. Without heavy artillery of any sort, Rajinikanth and Immadi, commander of the supporting Vidyanegro force, completely out-march the Inane One and his Delhi Horde. The Shah is forced to fight a defensive battle against a significantly larger horde of fanatical Hindu warriors.
Despite inflicting significant casualties on the Superstar, the fanaticism of the Hindus is not diminished. It quickly becomes apparent that the Shah will have to hinge his victory on a later battle.
The third Vidyanegro force pushes up from the east, while the Baluchi Horde captures the Gujarati populated province of Surat. The Vidyanegro interlopers in the east will be dealt with when the Bengali Raja is no longer a threat.
Curiously, the Hindus have brought no proper cavalry regiments with them, at least on the southwestern front. Despite this lack of cavalry, their sheer mass and surprising discipline proves too much for the Shah. He is forced to retreat to Surat, where the Baluchi Horde can hold off the now weakened Vidyanegroes.
The Shah orders the Baluchi Horde to push the Superstar out of Dadra. Rajini Kanth must be kept on the back foot, at whatever the cost. Hopefully, with the Vidyanegro army so weary from the last battle, this will prove a wise strategic move.
Although the Gujarati Horde has initially failed to occupy the Raja's capital, Venga soon falls despite enormous Andhairavid casualties. The Gujarati commander leaves a small contingent behind to crush any remaining Bengali resistance, while the main Horde moves to deal with the Vidyanegroes.
The Vidyanegroes, having suffered heavily from attrition, attempt to flee from the onrushing Sikh Horde.
The cowards are caught at Jharkand. Thousands of Hindu heathens become food for the dreaded Sikh Attack Goats. With the majority of his forces tied up fighting Andhaira himself, the Superstar is now vulnerable along his eastern flank.
The Vidyanegroes are swiftly made to relinquish Andhairavid lands. Their early success is now reversing quite severely. The way to the Vidyanegro capital, Vijayanagar, is now open.
The Superstar makes a last ditch effort at a decisive victory over the Andhairavids. He marches into Dadra, hoping to lure his adversary to battle. The Hindu commander Immadi is the lynchpin in this plan. If his force can link up with the Superstar, then it might be possible to trap the Delhi Horde.
This desperation proves fruitless. The Shah, attempting to reiterate his earlier plan, avoids Rajini and moves to intercept Immadi, isolating the Superstar at Dadra.
Meanwhile, the Gujarati Horde begins its push down to the Vidyanegro capital. The Bihari province of Indravati is occupied, carving a deep wound into Hindu territory.
The battle is won, despite heavy losses. The mass infantry formations of the Hindus are proving significantly more lethal when combined with strong discipline and solid morale. Nevertheless, casualties aside, the Shah has accomplished his objective. The Superstar is isolated, providing the Shah with an opportunity to strike a decisive blow. The victor of this war could hinge upon the next battle.
The day is won, but the dance-off has only just begun. It's time for the Shah to go down to funky town on this cracker Hindu upstart!
