Something that really irked me in PFK was the lack of Alarm, which would have obviously been very useful when camping.
This is what you get for not using Octavia.
Just kinda further highlights the weirdness. They were aware it's valuable.

You know what's funny? The Alarm spell is in Octavia's opposition school- Adjuration. They really really wanted an excuse to use the camping mechanic.

Nobody’s using that awful mechanic when you’ve got Linzi or Jub’s or Ekun’s or Val’s special camping abilities. Pretending there are no opportunity costs doesn’t magically make them go away.

Last time I played Icewind Dale Yxunomei was stunned by a Chromatic Orb. :smug:

Nice. I once petrified the shadow dragon with chromatic orb. That fight was going way south as my party was level 8-10. Ribbons awarded to Greater Malison and Doom for the assist.
