Genma:TheDestroyer
Arcane
Sorry for the delay, folks. Enjoy!
Jagadance knew there be something special 'bout you. That's why he offer to come along.
Pull the other one, you're running with with me because I pay upfront.
Item of a creature...I'll eat my hat if that's not the dog collar we picked up awhile ago.
The power reveals itself to you in a given form!
And sends messengers that act like they want to bite my dick off.
One of a man...we talking something made by people? Do manufactured items count? Scalpel, crowbar?
Hey I'm in it solely for the money, don't worry.
Ditto.
Good to know. Hopefully the contents of this next warehouse are a bit more mundane.
One of the earth...search me. Wait a minute, didn't Jake have a note about one of these warehouses?
Hello? Ma'am?
Salutations Mr. Armitage, I've been waiting.
Oh yeah I know where this is going.
Unbelievable. How bad is his luck?
*Ka-click*
Perhaps you aren't the fool we took you for.
She is--Spirits protect us!
You've gathered underlings who understand the situation even if you cannot! Drake says farewell!
Isn't it usually the guy who turns into a tentacle demon?
Gender equality can be a bitch.
Sir?
Kill it with fire!
The Octopus is a toughie alright, but I've chosen a good Running Crew. Its main strengths are an ungodly amount of HP, decent armor (Jake's pistol barely rates a point of damage occasionally) and a long range ink blob attack. Not that it needs ranged attacks, we're practically in its face.
Jake wasn't putting out amazing damage himself but explosives still do the trick. Grenades also shut down the Octopus' windup for its ink attack.
Jagadance was in the most danger at half the health of everyone else and for some reason parked on the front lines.
Good thing he's got a magic reset button.
The power, she is a mistress of many faces.
Troll (calling him that cause he has no name and uses the troll pic) and Anders are the heavy damage dealers and have enough HP that they're in no danger.
Jake tossed a patch or two anyway.
No one in the group ever got really low, but it was a long fight. HP bloat did exist back in the day and Octopus ran with it.
Jagadance told you before, Undead be no trouble at all.
I'm not dead fool!
Oh?
On second thought days like these are the reason I'm still in the business.
Speak for yourself. Blech.
Good work Shaman.
How did they know we'd be here?
Not that hard to figure out, Drake seems to have a lot of eyes around town and maybe he knew about the clues you found.
I'd forgotten about that!
He didn't.
Can't soak up the ink with paper, we must need a container.
Where it kept that money is the stuff of nightmares.
Ugh.
Hmm...calamari.
Isn't calamari squid?
*Blam*
I suppose you think that was terribly clever.
Positively brilliant.
Getting out of enemy territory is surprisingly easy with a good team.
There's a reason the Holy Trinity concept has stuck around for so long.
We've gone everywhere else, to the west!
A plain facade bristling with guns. It's just like home.
Actually that does describe my home.
Oorah?
Oo~rah.
Back in my day Runners used to have to walk fifteen miles-
Yes yes, barefoot in the snow and carrying a sack of flour.
More like barefoot in the sewers carrying a biological agent with faulty containment.
My apartment is free.
But not as conveniently placed.
And they wonder how the service industry grew so large. In one word; laziness.
Jake could talk a person out of their clothes in a snowstorm.
Perhaps later?
I think that's for the best.
Security ain't what it used to be.
[Intelligence] This place must have a minimum reputation requirement before being allowed entry.
[FO3 Intelligence] Jake's a Shadowrunner.
Don't remember anyone mentioning this place.
A moment of your time for a man down on his luck?
What are you, a hobo?
*Sigh*
Least she didn't transform into a cuttlefish.
Tea with whatever alcohol you feel like sneaking in there. Make it a double. Hear anything interesting recently?
Whatever. My drink?
of the club scene.
Does she....look familiar to you?
Um, someone we passed in the street?
But we talk to everyone-
Look more Runners!
Good lord, that price is with a maxed out Negotiation stat! What was it before?
Apparently he knows the value of his skills.
Magic or tech; wear those sunglasses and you're likely an aggressive negotiator.
Bing! This is the guy Anders referenced, the decker guru. Might pay to have him on our side when you bring the fight to Drake.
Taking the Mage next to him into account, that's probably an understatement. Some expensive Runners here.
Got'em. Know anything about a woman named Akimi?
Where one of the very people he mentioned usually hangs. Contrary fellow.
Steelfight has a small blurb if Street Docs are brought up;
This is the second way we could have found out about Dr. Maplethorpe.
Get me a drink and tell me everything. In that order.
Glad your priorities are straight.
Including who the fox is.
Urk.
