speeds up boss spawnWhy would you discard cards? You also get resources for playing them.
also if you go crazy with mountains might get overrun with gobos

as you can see on previous page, it got moved by infiWhy is this thread in general gaming?
Why is this thread in general gaming?
Because it is not an RPG.
I thought Infinitron's criteria for putting stuff in RPG subforum was an RPG tag steam
It's an RPG because the character plays himself, and you only handle equipment and build, meaning there is no leakage between player and character skill.I don't know, I'm surprised this has an RPG tag. There are classes in the full release, but it isn't clear to me what they'll do. Everything else is simply equipment drops of various tiers and rarity. It doesn't really go in an RPG slot in my mind, not even as an ARPG.

So is Assassin's Creed yet I see it in the RPG subforum? I thought Infinitron's criteria for putting stuff in RPG subforum was an RPG tag on steam, and Loop Hero definitely has one
http://www.chashuentertainment.com/The criteria is the developers explicitly describing the game as an RPG in a formal description, press release, trailer, etc. Steam tags are opportunistic gibberish.
We are currently working on Sands of Aura, a Souls-like ARPG that takes you on a journey through a desolate world of sand and magic.
https://rpgamer.com/2020/12/sands-of-aura-announced-heading-to-steam-early-access-in-2021/Sands of Aura is a dungeon-delving RPG with an open world where you can level up and equip gear by defeating hordes of vicious enemies.
Developer Chashu Entertainment has announced action adventure RPG Sands of Aura, which will be available for PC via Steam Early Access in 2021.
Original skill system based on great spirit and religion. However, we’ve got a unique twist on that in keeping with our promise to meld native American lore with deep mechanics inherent in any good RPG.
In both cases, we can make the game of our dreams. The game you want. An RPG dream game on par with the greatest of the genre. We can do it!

which is as good definition of rpg as it gets. Plus you get members that tried it and claiming so. Also felipepepe likes it so at one point you will have to face itLoot and Upgrade: Strike down menacing creatures, recover stronger loot to equip on the fly and unlock new perks along the way.

yeah this doesn't really sound like an RPG.....Recover and equip powerful loot for each class of hero for their battles and expand the survivors' camp to reinforce each adventure through the loop. Unlock new classes, new cards, and devious guardians on your quest to shatter the endless cycle of despair.
- Infinite Adventure: Select from unlockable character classes and deck cards before setting out on each expedition along a randomly generated loop path. No expedition is ever the same as the ones before it.
- Plan Your Struggle: Strategically place building, terrain, and enemy cards along each loop to create your own dangerous path. Find balance between the cards to increase your chances of survival while recovering valuable loot and resources for your camp.
- Loot and Upgrade: Strike down menacing creatures, recover stronger loot to equip on the fly and unlock new perks along the way.
- Expand Your Camp: Turn hard-earned resources into campsite upgrades and gain valuable reinforcements with each completed loop along the expedition path.
- Save the Lost World: Overcome a series of unholy guardian bosses over a grand saga to save the world and break the time loop of the Lich!

There is, but imo loop hero looks very stylish. There really is a fad at the moment of dressing shit games up in nostalgic aesthetics to make an easy buck.
