Fucking called it. Knew the Lightning would be here. Just didn't expect her to try and bro with us so soon...

This is probably the closest chance she has to meet with you, plus a Heroine of the People would be one that escorts even enemy civilians to safety.

Anyway, it's pretty damn blatant who she is by now. It's a slight pity you guys didn't go with Keiko in the first chapter (some more careful reading back then would've eliminated a few mistaken early assumptions). Navigating the cult politics would've been an interesting challenge.

What would have happened if we went with A, treave? Would we have had a chance at taking down the giant ass spaceship?

Look, the codex likes princesses and the codex likes tentacles. You gave us the possibility of combining the two in one glorious hole whole. How could we refuse?

No, the best you could hope for would be to force it to retreat and save Marduk's Navel, becoming even more of a hero. No one there would have packed enough firepower to take that thing down right now. You'd probably need more than just one fleet.

I suppose being a refugee escort is less dramatic in comparison.

Without even seeing the whole video my first thought was of the Scarlet Pimpernel.

I really should finish watching the subsequent seasons sometime. :M

C. Run off to Anhur to sortie and strike down the Mehrgarh now, while they think they're being honourable goody two shoes. All is fair in war. I knew she had some sort of honourable streak to her... escorting refugees to lure the Scarlet Lightning in worked JUST AS PLANNED! Even Grimrock wouldn't expect this, but that's why I'm the resident genius. All will be forgiven as long as I obtain results.
As much as I like the sound of
Just_as_planned_tzeentch.jpg

this is a trap that will most likely lead to prolonging the war and us getting blamed for it. Even though I'm pretty sure this whole "peace" is a sham; the Indus already showed their true targets: Innana flowers and I'm fairly certain the next major strike will be on Ean's sacred grove.

B I don't like since it will put us in a situation of tussling with the Scarlet Lightning and the Indus carrier armed with a nuke, no matter what they say. Then again, this may be our only chance to have Eanette defect to our cause, so it may be worth it just for that; and, naturally, she will try to make us defect.

A, however, I like just for the express purposes of being a dick and getting home sooner, we still have the Princess on board.

Yes, yes it is a pity.

Princesses and tentacles, pshaw, tentacle orgies is where it's at.

Oh, that was our chance for MEGA GLORY, huh? Damn, so much for being Ciaphas Cain.:(

Bros, not talking to Rei is like skipping the cult. It's like going to Egypt instead of Greece. It's like fucking around with the yellow streaks instead of meeting up with Shulgi. We need to advance the plot.

Right now we don't know what's going on. B will advance our knowledge of the TRUE plot of this LP. Though it is somewhat risky, now is not the time to ruin our rep and pussy out like the cowardly little boy we started out as.

Alright, voting B.
Just as long as we're clear that if she starts mentioning tentacle orgies, I'm for defecting immediately, blowing up Grimrock's ship and tap-dancing on the ashes in our CF.

We really should have played the madman in Dio's chapter. Would have given us the opportunity to get our crazy tentacle-based ideas out of our system.

On a more serious note, I wonder if Senya's Tactical Genius(TM) will allow us to trick her into revealing some information about the Indus' and the Cult's future actions (like sabotaging/breaking the peace treaty);
Or maybe some sisterly concern will force her to slip some information, as in: "Brother, please come with me/don't go to the peace treaty, mother is planning something... unsavory; I would not want you to... well, don't go, alright?"

Yes, B will be rather interesting.

We need her to consider that the side she's fighting for is currently targetting the Inanna flowers, which seem to be the base of the cult's technologies/research.

Why fight for the side that seems to combat what the cult is about?

Also, seems I'm also jumping on the
Bandwagon :salute:

Now that I got the:retarded:out of my system: This is just too fucking convenient, flopping to A.

Let's see here: first, we are contacted by a Britannian ship hired by the ISC to carry Higashi refugees to an Indus base Higashi colony(that, in itself, is already suspicious), captained by a person discharged from the NSE for reckless behavior. Accepting that, we skip out on participating in a massive assault on Marduk's Navel by prototype technology.
We are then cornered by UNS warships and are about to be blown to rubble and out of fucking nowhere the Indus show, at the right place on exactly the right time, and offer to escort us, the enemy, safely away from their allies. Add to that that Rei Wakayama is the Cult leader's daughter (props to Lambchop) and this shit just got weirder.
Yeah, it's like Murphy and Ackbar are pushing every single "RED FUCKING ALERT!" button in my system. I pretty much smell an ambush, those NSI forces may as well be a goddamned trap and the only reason Rei is here is to pull our genetically modified, tentacled arse out of here before the whole ship gets nuked (a nuke the Indus warship is still carrying, by the way).

Why? The Princess is on board, that's why, and I can't imagine the ISC doesn't know at least something about her little scheme to "Increase Crown Authority" and remove their traitor boyar asses off the premises. They want her out of the picture and the Empress may be on their side (why would she agree to be her joint ruler on the ISC side if the corporation's power will be severely limited?)

Don't do it, guys. A or C are the way to go here (even though I consider C to be suicidal).

Who's carrying what to an Indus base? You might want to check the text again.

Whoops, mixed up Sun L4 with Moon L4.

Still, the circumstances are suspicious, better hightail it outta here. Something about animu chicks loving you if you play hard to get or something.

How did they know where we were? I'm guessing the UNS ships reported that they found us right away. Rie saw our unusual fighting methods in the last battle and assumed we'd go in an unexpected direction, so their carrier was searching for us nearby when the UNS ships' report came in. That or they were following our ion trail or some shit.

We've got to figure out what's going on here. We need to know the REAL reason for the war. It's not about what Kyrie and her pop think, so any peace treaty they negotiate will be a sham. It has something to do with the flowers and if we don't find out what, we're screwed because our side's awesome plan is to negotiate an ineffective peace that will merely allow the enemy time to pull back and build up their forces even more.

Really?
Ten days into the escort journey, we finally run into trouble. Three UNS warships corner us, refusing to allow us passage.
"Ohai, gusy, you lost us through a radar-jamming field ten whole days ago but here we are to save you from our allies at the exact second they are about to open fire. I mean ten days seems like a long time, right? I guess we're jsut that cool, huh?
Why are you looking at us like that? No, of course it's not a trap; it's not like we know you have Saeko Wakayama's brother and the future Empress on board, right? Ahaha.

...whoops, what was my finger doing on that big red button?"

Or we can just hold out for a bit and go have a chat with Ean and pull Excalibur Anbar'Shi out of the stone tree. Just sayin'.
Yeah, that's it. After we conquer the planet, I'm renaming it to "Ean's Left Nut." Let's see Shulgi outdo that one.

Speaking of Shulgi, where is the guy when you need him?

Well, we are passing through enemy lines like the choice said, so I don't think it's strange to run into enemy ships. I think it's a whole lot more plausible that the Indus carrier was searching in our general direction and rushed over as soon as the report came in that we'd been spotted.

And aside from that, I think it's pretty silly to assume they'd hire a ship to lead us into a trap that's captained by an ex ISC officer that practically worships Grimrock and would gladly become a kamikaze for his sake.

While I don't say we trust them completely (she still might try to capture us while we're not neutral ground), I think B is the best and most sensible course we have available right now and it offers too much knowledge of the enemy and the world to pass up.
