Also, Rin won't be able to hide all that easily there, which would force her plan to the next logical step. And who doesn't like her brilliant plans?

On another hand, an insight into the trade would be interesting as well, since it's our second nature.

Rivers are cool, especially when you can admire beutiful sights around you such as architecture.
In hot days you can dip your feet into cooling water and watch and enjoy the moment. It seems good way for our most hardworking lazy mage to actually take break and just lazying around and enjoy looking that which is all beautiful around him with cool drink in his hand.
