Please stop wasting my time with your senseless trolling.

Such deep gameplay to be found on a machine with two buttons!

How can you be this retarded?

Yeah it's obvious that computers back then didn't have as many keys as modern controllers...

You had something intelligent to say?
Hey retard, we were talking about the Atari 7800 and console gaming. Do you ever have something intelligent to say?

You could play Sonic 3 & Knuckles on that controller, and that's the best 2D platformer ever made.

It's not the best but OK. It's arguably not even the best Sonic game. Why the fuck are there only like 6 world stages/themes in sonic 3? What happened to Sonic 2's multiplayer? Why is the last world so gay? Also Carnival Night Zone is just a soy-ified version of Casino Night Zone.

I'm aware great games can be made with limited input, and some, very few that I've ever played, were made in the 80s, but for the most part there is no contest and 80s console gaming is embarrassing. It would take a big list of deep complex games I've never heard of to make me even give the era a second thought in that regard.

Star Raiders was one such game.

It even came with a keypad.

No mention of Cat Mario? Fail thread. Also: Sonic 06.
Mario hasn't thankfully gotten here yet.

Make the Codex Great Again! Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. I helped put crap in Monomyth
comparing /v/ shitposting the latest vidya news to the THOUSANDS of sonic furfag fansites, fan fiction repositories and rule 34 repositories. lmao sonic yiffers are gigacoping.

take solace in the fact that one of the most well known sonic fan fiction creators just had his incest rape case dismissed and enjoy life for a moment.

I wasn't aware Crash had dangerhairs, but this one has a nice ass instead of being completely flat on all sides, funnily enough.

OK fag. Go download a Sonic 3 rom and get a better time if it's so easy. When you try and fail, you can go back to flying over every level of Super Mario World.
Super Mario World is overrated Mario. Not a fan. SMB1, The Lost Levels and 3 were all better. Prefer SM64 and Odyssey as well. Never played the Galaxy series.

Sonic 3 doesn't remember your times, except for the low res time attack with unique levels, so who cares? I never got good times partly because I was always searching for super rings. Way to sabotage your own concept, Yuji Naka. Almost infinite health with catching rings coming off you, platforming for babies. Every playthrough ends with like fifty lives and ten continues, lol.

If you can't beat Sonic 3K under 90 minutes with no hits taken, then I just can't take you seriously :smug:

Whatever. You can make requirements like that with any game. Doesn't make it special. If you do that with Sonic 3, the game will call you a loser at the end. Robotnik juggling the Chaos Emeralds as he laughs. Angel Island stays in the sea and Sonic flies home a LOSER.

Not true. If I don't perfect all the special stages and get both sets of emeralds, how else am I gonna end the game with over 2 million points? It'd be a disaster.

You've never gotten all the emeralds and finished the game in 90 minutes. Not even close. So what are we talking about?

Did Crash 4 kill the franchise? I thought it was absolutely excellent. Definitely made for hardcore fans who know the first three games inside out and are ready to deal with some truly bullshit challenges, but that's what they were going for.

The Tawna, Dingodile and Cortex levels were all ace, all changing the mechanics up while still feeling distinctively like a Crash Bandicoot game. A couple of the Tawna areas had an almost Sonic-esque feel when they started letting you chain grapple jumps at 90mph.

I probably have. The glitchless world record is 72 minutes. No way I'm a whole 18 minutes behind. Especially since I play Knuckles a lot, who has a shorter campaign.

Besides, you can still get the good ending and Doomsday Zone with just the Chaos Emeralds, you don't need the Super Emeralds as well.

If you glitched for that time, who cares?

If you don't get the super emeralds, a robot emerges from rubble at the very end. The game calls you a loser.

Oh, we're talking about Knuckles. Seldom played his story. Sonic's is much better with the whole volcano, Death Egg and Doomsday to round it out.

Mario is an ok game series, I think. I mean, it is pretty childish and they haven't been able to make a game as good as SMB 3 in 35 years, but I think every main series game has been at least fun for a while. And while I love (2d) sonic games, anyone who is a fan of that series has no business criticising Mario...

That's not what that is. The Eggrobo stinger you're referring to is a teaser for Knuckles's campaign; that Eggorobo is the antagonist of the Knuckles playthrough due to his story taking place after Sonic's and Dr. Eggman being out of commission. It appears even in standalone Sonic & Knuckles, a game with no Super Emeralds.

Don't agree with this at all. SMB3 is super overrated. It's better than World, maybe, but 64 completely blows it out of the water. SM64 is the best Mario game.

Sonic doesn't have any furfag content, except maybe Rouge the Bat's boob physics in SA2 which are more comical than anything.

I like Mario. I played them as a kid and had fun, and now I play them with my kids and we all have fun. Are they hard? No, not in the last 30 years, but they’re brightly-colored family-friendly games that have something for all ages and abilities. I’ve always preferred 3D platformers over 2D though, so maybe that accounts for my preference of Mario over Sonic.

Super Mario Bros 3 is the best Mario game and best 2D platformer. Possibly also the best platformer of all time. Quite the accomplishment for an 80s game.
