Why did you expect one at BioWare Social Network? It's not like any information about the romances was leaked. As to the rest of the plot, I think the following says it all:M4BE1R0 said:The shitstorm(or lack of one) @BSN is disappointing.
I am proud of what Bioware's team has accomplished, no matter what happens in the game, no matter what outcome, I don't care if I have to drag a mass relay into sol and blow it up to kill all the reapers.
You created a dream game and series, something I have never played like this before, so keep up at the hard work and keep faith in what you do.
I read some of these spoilers and the game sounds ****ing awesome!
HYPE HYPE HYPE!
I imagined myself playing some of those missions and I was pretty blown away.
Almost cried at the bits with the geth. Bravo.
I really hope you rewirte this because that was I was reading sounded very very bad. Honestly w here did all your tallent writers go?
It reads like fanfiction. It's the loudest, most epic thing ever written without a hint of subtlety
Feeling awful that this has happened to Bioware.
Random thought you think M$ is still butt hurt over losing rights over ME2? (With it being ported to PS3 and all)
*punches a wall and cries*
Yet they felt the need to post this:Jaesun said:Most all of the writing in the leaked demo is very very old. And I think I can trust my source on that statement.
'Experience the purest form of the story'? What does that even mean?We are still investigating, but it appears that some internal story files have been leaked. Even though the information in those files is out of date and does not reflect the final story experience, we urge fans not to read them if they want to experience the purest form of the story in Mass Effect 3.

That doesn't correlate to a necessary lack of any sematic component, love.Jaesun said:It's called generic PR speech honey.

I think it's a euphemism so they avoid any fans taking the deal with spoiling literallySacculina said:Yet they felt the need to post this:Jaesun said:Most all of the writing in the leaked demo is very very old. And I think I can trust my source on that statement.

Well yeah, obviously, but what ... actually, forget it--it's an itch I've gotten from my job, which involves looking at a lot of badly written text. Sorry to have brought it up.M4BE1R0 said:I think it's a euphemism so they avoid any fans taking the deal with spoiling literally'Experience the purest form of the story'? What does that even mean?
Man, I read some of the story spoilers (didn't care much for the abilities/weapons lists), but I'm going to refrain from reading the entire storyline. I remember reading the entire episode résumé of Star Trek Voyager's series finale back in 2002 or whatever a few days before it aired, and I remember having severely regretted it when I watched it on TV and saw that it was EXACTLY what I had read... especially since it was one of my favorites show at the time. I don't want that to be the case with ME3, even though peoples' disappointment with the story really make me want to know what is so wrong with it.
The story of ME2 was what really disappointed me (since it was pretty nonexistant) so I will be very disappointed if the story is just as crappy. Yet I cannot bring myself to read it and see... I hope I won't regret having bought the game once I will have played it and seen the story.
Let me not be disappointed please!!!!

Bold the delicious parts. This is ME3's target audience: Voyager fans. He's going to shell out the $60 on launch day and be disappointed. Or tell himself that he's not disappointed, for about a year, and then be forced to come to grips with that buried disappointment.
Of course, I scoff even though I'll probably be buying it as well. I just don't expect it to be some life-changing, life-affirming experience. Just an enjoyable bit of space opera.

And if they didn't get confused about the prime directive about halfway through the series and take it to mean they are supposed to have no effect on anyone for any reason.
And if there wasn't a really fucked up every insane culture is just as good as ours evn if they do eat human babies for breakfast message (no wonder it's the show of choice for pedophiles).
But a show with the doctor and 7 and tuvoc cruising around obliterating random civilizations would be great.

That show could have been great if it had an entirely different cast, stuck to the premise for more than one episode (having limited resources and a divided crew ended after the first episode), had decent writing, wasn't so cheap as to reuse the the costume design from previous aliens of the week, didn't ruin the borg forever, didn't decide to promote diversity by having the majority of the characters be cheap stereotypes (angry latina, cocky white guy, wise native warrior, PMS lady, nerdy asian, ice queen, etc.), didn't feature a villain race whose major battle appeared to be with hairbrushes, didn't make have the crew run into a bunch of random shit from earth (oh look, Amelia Airheart! And there are a bunch of sentient dinosaurs!), and finally didn't solve every fucking problem by rerouting power through the main deflector dish.
If I had a gun with six bullets, Brannon Braga, Rick Berman, Hitler, Stalin, and Pol Pot in one room, I would shoot Berman and Braga three times each.
EDIT: Back on topic, there should be some kind of law against using a super-ancient-duper-artifact against the big bad in a sci fi setting. If you are going to write yourself into a corner with an overwhelming enemy, then you better have a very crafty plan ready for the protagonists to execute, or better yet have them run away. A story about the heroes trying to escape death is a lot more satisfying then some deus ex machina dropping by to solve everything.

Since the beginning the series has been a major critical success. Both games have received critical acclaim for their storyline, characters, romances, voice acting, choices, tolerance of diversity, and the depth of the galaxy.[1][2][3]
