...around 15 mins in. That's what I'm trying to get at, and it really is missing in modern games. Hell, Bards Tale didn't even have a suspend save option, and I'm arguing strongly for that option.

Thanks to the OP - interesting interview. Find it strange that this guy came up with BT1

He didn't, Michael Cranford designed and programmed it. Brian was the salesman who packaged it and took it to EA. Brian and Michael later fell out over money and contracts (like Braben and Bell did with Elite) but concept, dungeon and encounter work was mostly Cranford along with the actual programming.
