Apparently the M&M fanbase of today consists of mentally retarded oldfags and little whining children.

Seriously, the forums are hell. If the developers listen to any of these whining assholes we can put the game to rest already. As I've said several times: I fucking hate young people (not including the ones willing to try older stuff and still having the ability to think for themselves).

Just look at this:

Turn based combat and grid based movement
Just no no no, Now I would first like to state that I love turn based combat. In-fact my favorite game of all time Dragon Quest 8 has turn based combat but its just all wrong here.

Firstly, Think of the glory days of Might and Magic, these were 6,7 and 8. Did any of these have turn based combat? NO! It was all played in real time and yes i know there was some sort of turn based option but nobody played it like that! 6,7 and 8 also had free movement. you could peer round corners of dungeons, climb hills and the traps were way more crippling when you knew you stepped on that pressure plate.

I personally think this is a huge mistake by the developers to create the game in this way, Might and Magic had the freedom of an Elder Scrolls game and the real time combat was a pivotal part of the series. I'm not here to riff on the developers in fact I'm sure it will turn out to be a great game, but i tell you what it wont be and that's a Might and Magic game, at least not how i remember it...

Do you guys have any thoughts on this, do you think they should be following in the footsteps of the glory days 6, 7 and 8?

What the fuck is this asshole talking about? M&M 6-8 were 'the glory days'? Nobody played them turn based?! My blood pressure rises to unhealthy levels just by looking at this crap. And the forums are full of it!

I'm under the impression that most of the people whining about wanting real time shit are Skyrim teens who have never played a M&M game in their lives.

I voted B as well.
I have a feeling we'd need to form an army here and take over the forums by flaming all their Might & Magic Newfag Asses back to Skyrim Hell with Codexian crpg reasoning. :mob:

Maybe you could ask the asshole who stole my username.

I couldn't use my usual username either and there's no way someone took it by coincidence since it's honestly unique. I rather think their registration system is buggy.
Nah, you are actually registering an UPlay account - it's possible that with the number of people using that service someone else could have the same idea for an username. Mine certainly is not that unique - it was already taken on Steam and other services. Godd think I have a back up, that is stupid enough to be relatively unique.

Apparently I as well have a uPlay account. Cool I guess. Also option B has 50% votes so far, and C has 16% lol

Actually, remaking an old dungeon would be a pretty useful benchmark of what the team is capable of, and a clear indicator of any decline and/or incline. Just make it the starter dungeon and we can all compare it with the old implementation to decide if the game is worth playing :P

I thought I might have but none of my two addresses were used (not even the one I use for signing up for junk mail). Oh well.

why would you want to have such an acc? whenever someone offers me to send junk I just give an email of someone I don't like. kills two rabbits with one shot.

this is really getting better and better...

-money-grabbing, for a developer backed by one of the big fish out there at that
-pegi 12 trailer narrative
-bubbles with "OMG!!11!" in it
-question mark icon when narrator hints at "exploring"

what the FUCK is wrong with you people. Yeah, go register

Actually, a new dungeon would be better for that. Remaking the old dungeon is easy in comparison to making an interesting new dungeon, if they make the remake the first one it won't tell me shit about the quality of later dungeons.

I wouldn't throw a hissy fit over the map, it may not be final and even if it is, there are way more important things to concentrate on, especially considering the likeliness of a very small budget.
