You hear that USG_Mucifikatorul ? Urban Strife needs to make good, so we can get our Vietnamese-JA2!

Yes, they are really passionate about their project and I support their game a lot. However, there are a few things to know.

- They are funding the game personally at great cost and risk. This is not sustainable for the industry.
- They are from a country where cost of labor and life is cheaper (great for them :)
- Their game is not historical so they might get more success in getting funding. However the max they would probably get is around 2M EUR.
- The game production value is not to the level of an XCOM. It is ok, they do not have the funding for it, and it will make it easier for them to recoup their investment.

I think they should negotiate with publishers to get additional funding to finish the game or just to cover their runway after the launch so they can keep polishing it and even start game number 2. The risk they have is that the amount of money they will receive right after releasing the first game will not be big enough to fund the next game at an healthy level. This is very hard to achieve and why you usually need some financial backing. :)

I have a lot of respect for them, I think they will be successful. I don’t think it will change the funding situation on the market though.

Do you have some economic forecasting / ROI projections for publishers assuming different budget scenarios, units shipped and additional games made with tools developed for Momentum?
Yes, we did it at the time. Our goal was to sell 750k-1M unit or so. (If I remember correctly).

The cost per project was decreasing and we also proved that this audience is very loyal.
